Goodness and Mercy Fighting for and Defending the Children of Promise

By Moses Hightower

I have come that you might have life and that more abundantly. The abundant life is yours. I have given it unto you freely. Freely you have received. Now freely give to others. Though your pains are many, rejoice. You are suffering with me and for my name’s sake. For the sake of the Living Word, you are being persecuted. Do not marvel that this is happening to you, but be glad. The blessings that are on the way unto you are not possible unless you travel through this valley. In this valley of the shadow of confusion, many have been turned around by confusion’s shadow and its voice of misunderstanding. You have made it through the veil of unbelief that has been cast over so many minds and wrapped them with fear and defeat. Rejoice that you were elected to prevail by the faith of Jesus Christ.  Unbelief has not finished its war with you. It has sent reinforcements into the battle to detour you from faith. Know this of a truth, that faith is more than enough for this web of unbelief and its army. Offer praise and give glory unto me continuously, and you shall destroy the wicked generals of unbelief. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and your righteousness is of me.

The enemy has prepared many weapons and has much artillery to use against you in warfare.  Do not worry, for the weapons of your warfare are not carnal, but mighty through me to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. I will bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of myself.  Have in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, for wisdom is better than weapons of war.  Do not be afraid of the enemy’s weapons of resentment and annoyance. You shall be a terror unto them, for I am going to do a thing in your life that shall make the enemy afraid of you. I will turn back the weapons of war that are in the hands of the enemy, and I will fight against them with my outstretched hand and strong arm. I have opened my armory and brought forth the weapons of my indignation, for this is my work that they are against.

Send forth praises into the battle as you lean on me and not on your own understanding. I shall use the praisers as my battle-axe and weapons of war. With the praisers, I will break in pieces the enemy’s artillery. Those who are against you shall be treated as a destroying mountain. I will stretch out my hand upon them and roll them down from the rocks of their high places that they have assumed. I will make them a burnt mountain. All who are against you shall be made desolate. They shall boast in their numbers and shall not know that they are desolate. It is bondage to persecute the bearers of the living word. You are the children of Jerusalem, which is above and is free. She is the mother of all of you. It is written, "Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband."

You are as Isaac was. You are the children of promise. Remember: He that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now. You are children of the free. Rejoice in your freedom.  Do not be filled with dismay at the many tactics that the enemy comes against you with. I am more than a match for all of these things. None of his strategies shall flourish. They shall be as babblers who speak with a fork of flame, for I shall confound them and they shall be found liars. Continue to believe on me, and you shall not be ashamed. The penalty that I shall impose on them shall be devastating. I shall make trouble for them in their own camp. I shall vex them with their own wickedness that they have assumed would never come up against them; therefore, do not worry about them. They shall be too busy defending themselves against their self-inflicted attacks to seek your hurt.  Heed my promises, and do not look to the warriors from your back. Goodness and mercy that follows you all the days of your life is more than a match for them. I have given you goodness and mercy as an inheritance. Now behold the attack of goodness and mercy on your behalf. You are a servant of mine and your righteousness is not your own, but it is of me. I am the Lord, your righteousness. Make an altar of praise and thanksgiving unto me. Worship with all that is within you, and behold the demolition of your fears. The enemy shall be as raging heathens. I shall ask them, “Why do you rage and imagine vain things against those who bear my word?”  They shall be speechless, for I shall break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from you. I shall laugh and cause them to dwell in derision. Behold the defense of your King on your behalf. Rejoice.  I am for you.  If they are on my side, then why are they against you?

They shall surely gather together, but not by me. Whosoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. I have called you, and I have sent you with a word from me. Go and deliver what I have given you and do not be afraid of their faces. I am with you to deliver you. I do touch your mouth again. Behold, I have placed my words in your mouth.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."

RE: RHEMA - Goodness and Mercy Fighting for and Defending the Children of Promise

God's goodness leads men to repentance. We will testify of his greatness and even when a promise seems to have been taken from us as the woman who provided the prophet a room, we will still say, "Shalom or it shall be well." If goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives, then in the shadows of the evening we will see the stark and vile realities of this world shaded and colored by the lens of goodness and mercy. God will not allow the pretenders and the contentious to prevail against the children of promise. Our vernacular is not to speak an evil report of unbelief but to speak of the power of the Lord that brings us to the land. Some may see giants and grasshoppers in comparison. We see the God who rides on the mercy seat in a chariot that is of the heavens. God's mercy seat is the shadow of the chariot throne that he sits and rides in. In Psalms 68:33, it tells us that he rides on the heavens of heavens, which means the entire universe. He can turn the universe into a war chariot if necessary. This at the least means that Jesus Christ can turn our latest problem into his chariot and ride rough shod over the enemy. In Song of Solomon, we are told that the chariot of the Lord is paved with love for the church. Paved is the same word used for Ritzpah and the fire that goes before the Lord. His love for us is so intense that he will send out his host of mercy and fight for all those who are like Jehoshaphat that sent out singers praising the Lord for his mercy, and God set the ambushes. In this chapter in II Chronicles 20, we are told that the battle is the Lord's.  As long as the battle is his, we will win.

Do not worry about those who cause trouble, neither worry about those who despise you and the ministry.  It is their problem and my problem, not yours. Bring me this burden of rejection by people, and I will destroy it upon this altar of mercy.

RE: RHEMA - The Things That Seem to Be Out of Reach of Our Humanity Are Used by God as Inspiration for Growth in Grace (Part 1)

God is so great that he reaches out and encompasses us with all of our weaknesses and failures and makes us part of his working. Then he reaches out and reveals himself greater still. No matter how long we encounter fleshly failure, we do not have to be swallowed up by its gravity. God more than makes up for our inability by his grace and secures his promises and makes them more certain than anything natural in this life. We have a tendency to be destroyed by everything that grasps at us from around us. The same One who said that he would not allow anything to pluck us out of his hand will not allow any of his promises to be altered as he hands them to us. Sorcery in Isaiah, Acts, and Revelation seems to be about the sorcerer using magic or mysterious incantations to mesmerize the participants. In Revelation, it is the Greek word Phamakia that we derive pharmacy or medicines from. The instigator would use drugs or potions to try to show his power, which we know is false. Our greatest encouragement about all of this is in Numbers 23. Prophecy tells us that the blessing of God cannot be reversed! There is no enchantment (spell) or divination (witchcraft) that can be against Jacob and Israel. In it all it shall be said "What hath God wrought?!!" Grace has established God as the dynamic in our lives, and our fleshly inadequacies will not stop God's declarations from coming to pass.

By Moses Hightower

(Continued)

Many are coming in my name, saying, “I am Christ,” and shall deceive many. Iniquity is abounding more than ever before, and the love of many is at a very cold point. Love my law and me, and then will your heart be armed against being offended. Betrayal is rampant. Hatred has become a sea of coldness. Its waves flow through the earth like a river when it is out of control. The unfaithful shall be cast into this river of hatred, and many shall die for the word of God and the testimony that they hold. I have called you. I have chosen you. Now be faithful.

126.    How will you endure unto the end if you are not persuaded to be faithful?

127.    How will you be caught away before the great day of my wrath with spots and wrinkles in your garment?

128.    Am I pleased with spots and wrinkles in the garments of salvation?

Lord, I thank you for the promise that you have come that I might have life and that more abundantly. The abundant life is mine. You have given it unto me freely. Freely I have received, and now will I freely give to others. Thank you for placing your tenacity in me. Though my pains are many, I can rejoice. I am blessed because I am suffering with you and for your name’s sake. For the sake of the living word, I am being persecuted. I do not marvel that this is happening to me, but I am glad. The blessings that are on the way unto me are not possible unless I travel through this valley. I am grateful to you for keeping me in this valley of the shadow of confusion, for many have been turned around by confusion’s shadow and its voice of misunderstanding.

I rejoice today, for it is by your grace that I have made it through the veil of unbelief that has been cast over so many minds and wrapped them up with fear and defeat. I rejoice and I am glad that I was elected to prevail by the faith of Jesus Christ. Unbelief has not finished its war with me. It has sent reinforcements into the battle to detour me from faith, but I know of a truth that faith is more than enough for this web of unbelief and its army. I offer praise and give glory unto you continuously, and I shall destroy the wicked generals of unbelief. Thank you for the promise that no weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment, I shall condemn. This is my heritage as your servant, and my righteousness is of you; therefore, I rejoice!

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - July 5, 2007

Although pain and persecution try to form a dungeon for us, we know that we are walking upon the stairs of grace into a greater dimension of power when we are in this state. God is not accidental or incidental when he allows things to rush in like a flood in our lives.  He will immediately rush in himself and sweep away the enemy with a flood of his power. Jesus Christ rent every veil of fear and unbelief at the cross.  Now we can view the direct path to the very throne of grace that is free of every obstacle.  Every adversary will turn their backs and vanish at the presence of the Lord.
