Portraits of Faith Along the Mountainous Walls of the Valley of Trouble

By Moses Hightower

The journey through your present trial is through a valley, not over mountains. I have carried you through valleys before; however, this is a different type of valley. I desire you to experience the beauty of the valleys and to learn things about valleys that will aid you in helping others. The mountain walls of this journey encroach upon your pride. Allow these huge overlapping things to fashion great trust within you. I have placed these huge things along the way as borders of safety and walls for portraits, not intimidating structures of limitations and fear. Your view of things is not dependent upon you but on me. I have placed my view within you. Because you cannot see through the walls of your valley is no reason to view these mountains as displays of trouble and impossibility. I have arranged the walls of your valley for my own purpose in your life and the lives of others.

The huge walls of your valley have separated you from many that I have excluded from your life. They will not come over these huge problems to fellowship with you; therefore, their unwanted hindrances and distractions are alienated on the other side. The huge problems that face you are ordered to stand only. Come near them and touch them. They do not bite, neither can they devour you. I have commanded their silence and forbade them to move. Now accept the opening of your ears to hear my voice as you walk along the mountainous walls of God-selected valleys. I have silenced the vocal echoes of these walls and commanded beautiful portraits of faith instead of intimidating roars of fear and loneliness. This valley is your home for a while. Rest and view the portraits placed on the walls of your abode by the word of my faithfulness. Behold their beauty, for they are from the mind of the one who created the walls. Behold what I see instead of what you see. Behold the beauty of the walls of the valley. I have made them out of the finest that impossibility has to offer. These walls of impossibility now serve you. They stand in silence and obedience to me as they offer you protection and walls for portraits of faith. Behold the portrait of prosperity that I am placing on the wall of financial impossibility. Behold the portrait of healing that I am placing on the wall of contrary sickness and disease. Behold the portrait of eternal life that I have placed on the wall of intimidating condemnation and damnation.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."

Words of Light upon the Face of Condemnations, Distractions, Fear, Hindrances, Huge Problems, Impossibility, Limitations, Loneliness, Sickness, and Trouble

RE: RHEMA - Portraits of Faith Along the Mountainous Walls of the Valley of Trouble

Valley walls and canyon backdrops only reflect the rising and setting of a sun that will do its main productions in the valley below.  Everything on the valley walls is just a sideshow that is the word of shadows playing among the rocks and crevices of the hardness of life. These shadows and silhouettes are only the secondhand images of the real action of power and victory that is taking place on the valley floor below where David is slaying Goliath and the host of the Philistines. Portraits of birds of prey are mirrored on the walls of the valley as they descend to fulfill the word of God that David spoke of in faith about the giants and the host of the enemy. Faith will lead us as it did Jehoshaphat and the people of God after victory in 2 Chronicles 20:26 into the valley of Berachah. It is called that because it had a double meaning. They were blessed of the Lord, and they blessed the Lord there for the victory over the enemy. They had peace, and the fear of God came on all the nations around them. They had a rule and reign of peace for 35 years after that battle and entrance into that valley.

I have not hid myself from your supplication. I have been attentive to your voice; therefore, do not be pained within yourself. The enemy is at war against you. If you open yourself up to these assumptions that I am not listening to you, then he will bring the terrors of death upon you. I have come to dispel this notion quickly. Many become overwhelmed by the storms and tempest in their lives because of this kind of thinking. Remember, the weapons of your warfare are not carnal. They are mighty through me to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bringing into captivity every thought to my obedience. Instead of being ready to believe the lies of the devil spoken in your ears, have a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. You are allowing the words that have been given to you to slip from your heart. You have received an abundance of prophecies. Do not allow these things that you have heard to slip. Give a more earnest heed to all these things that are spoken in your ears, for this is the Rhema of God. How are you going to escape if you are neglecting these things?

RE: RHEMA - God Has Planned an Escape from the Chambers of Human Royalty unto the Courts of Grace and Peace (Part 1)

False imaginations will fill our minds with images that will distort our spiritual perspective. As redundant as it sounds, we must keep our eyes on Jesus Christ who heard the insults of the religious and the applause of the people as he performed miracles. He knew full well that the religious leaders could turn hosannas into hangman's nooses in a matter of minutes.  Those who cried in praise could be screaming for his crucifixion in a short period of time.  We cannot afford for our flesh or public opinion to anoint us as priest, prophet, or king.  It is all in the realm of his kingdom. A little leaven of religious pride and its lusts will destroy us.  At the center of religious pride is selfishness. Selfishness will destroy us, but selfless living will exalt us in his times. Our time is in his hands and he will show those who are his.

(Continued)

You cannot manage to survive without total dependence upon me. I am your God. The enemy has no power to transfer the title deed to these things unto him, for faith is the title deed. I am your security and your guaranty.  All things are paid for. No collateral is necessary. My life was sufficient to pay the total amount owed for you. Refuse to be held as security for the debt that you owed, neither allow your desires to be denied because of unfulfilled obligations. You are not a bailment for your insufficiencies. I have paid all these things in full. Now rise up from the debtor’s dungeon and come to the table of plenty. I have given you my word. Now I am bound by my pledge to you.

64.       Have I promised and now will I not perform?

I have saved the best for last. You have been last many times, but now the last shall be first. Return to your first choice, for it is faith’s choice and its choice does not change. Do not disappoint faith by limiting it. Faith’s choice is highly refined with the taste of love. I am preeminent, and I have given you the choice of preeminence. Refuse to live as a pauper in this age of abundant life to all who believe. Faith’s choice surpasses and transcends all of the indifferences that have confronted you. Wisdom is justified of her children. Christ, the wisdom of God, has justified you, and you are righteous in my sight.

65.       Now how great are my works?

I praise you this day my gracious King, for the portraits of faith in the valley walls and canyon backdrops only reflect the rising and setting of a sun that will do its main productions in the valley below.  Everything on the valley walls is just a sideshow that is the word of shadows playing among the rocks and crevices of the hardness of life. These shadows and silhouettes are only the second hand images of the real action of power and victory that is taking place on the valley floor below where David slew Goliath and the host of the Philistines. Portraits of birds of prey are mirrored on the walls of the valley as they descend to fulfill your word O God. I reflect on David and how he spoke in faith about the giants and the host of the enemy. I am elated because your faithfulness will lead me as it did Jehoshaphat and your people after victory into the valley of Berachah. I give you thanks, O Lord, for giving me the understanding of its double meaning. They were blessed of you, and they blessed you for the victory over their enemy. I magnify you for granting me victory over my foes. Just as Judah had peace and the fear of you came on all the nations around them, so shall you grant me peace after the battle and an entrance into the valley. I magnify you, O Prince of Peace, for you are worthy of all praise!!

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - June 10, 2007

Valleys are the veil that covers the face of what we are not able to behold.  Moses could not see the face of God until he was revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. Time has a way of wearing on our patience.  We will reap in due season if we faint not. II Corinthians 3:16 tells us that the veil has been taken away in Christ. We are changed into the same image from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. We have our battles, giants, and trials, but as we continue to be changed we view God and life differently. We can say that when all these things surround us that the glory and power of God is going to rest upon us. God has given us the assurance and peace that he will not allow anything in any dimension of existence to separate us from his love and promises. Valleys are the shape of the mountain of victory that has been turned upside down that God will turn right side up.
