Settle Down in the Fire of Trial, Be Still, and Know That God Is Your Refuge (Part 1)

By Moses Hightower

I have counseled with you and encouraged you to buy gold tried in the fire so that you might be rich in faith, love, peace, mercy, and longsuffering. That which is purchased in the fire shall make you the rich man that I created you to become.  Without the fire of trial, you cannot be rich. Now settle down in this fire, be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted in this trial of fire as I am exalted in the earth. I am with you. I am the God of Jacob, your refuge. Be quiet and cease your screaming and crying. I have heard you when you called. I have enlarged you already in this time of distress. I have had mercy upon you and heard your prayers. Do not turn my glory into shame, but know this: I have set you apart for myself. Stand in awe and do not sin with your heart or your lips.

Though you commune with your own heart upon your bed and while you walk by the way, be still and worship. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and place your total trust in me. I will place gladness in your heart. I will lay you down in peace and good sleep. I will make you to dwell in safety, for you have run to my strong tower of safety. Your soul longs for me. Your heart and your flesh have cried out for the Living God. As the sparrow has found a house and the swallow a nest for herself where she may lay her young, so have you found the altar of the Lord, your God. Now dwell in my house all the days of your life and continue praising me always. Your strength is in me. In this house, you may go from strength to strength.

Spring forth in true worship in the fire, for in the fire your face shines because of the anointing. Every yoke is broken off you. Every sin and iniquity is forgiven. I am your shield, and my courts are better than the dwelling places of the wicked. You allowed yourself to become distressed when you entered into the fire. You will not perish in this fire. The flames are hot, but my mercy is enough for you. The voice of mercy has spoken and declared, “Peace, be still.” These flames are not against you. They are for you; therefore, do not be fearful as one who does not have faith, but be full of confidence and trust in me. I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire that I might bring you forth as an instrument for my own work in these last days. I have created the waster to destroy, but I have not created you to destroy you. The destruction that you see all about you is not for you but for your enemies. No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment shall be condemned. This is the heritage of my servants, and your righteousness is of me.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."

Words of Light upon the Face of Distress, Destruction, a Fiery Trial, Terror, and Unbelief (Part 1)

By Linda Galati

The Lord has counseled with me and encouraged me to buy gold tried in the fire so that I might be rich in faith, love, peace, mercy, and longsuffering. That which is purchased in the fire shall make me the rich woman of God that he created me to become.  Without the fire of trial, I cannot be rich.  Now I will settle down in this fire, be still, and know that he is God. He will be exalted in this trial of fire as he is exalted in the earth. He is with me. He is the God of Jacob, my refuge. I will be quiet and cease my screaming and crying. God has heard me when I called. He has enlarged me already in this time of distress. He has had mercy upon me and heard my prayers. I purpose not turn his glory into shame, but I know that he has set me apart for himself. I determine to stand in awe and not sin with my heart or my lips.

Though I commune with my own heart upon my bed and while I walk by the way, I will be still and worship. I offer the sacrifices of righteousness and place my total trust in the Lord. He will place gladness in my heart. He will lay me down in peace and good sleep. He will make me to dwell in safety, for I have run to his strong tower of safety. My soul longs for him. RE: RHEMA - Settle Down in the Fire of Trial, Be Still, and Know That God Is Your Refuge (Part 1)

I will never forget what the Lord spoke to me about 20 years ago when I was in a time of need for the church here in Madisonville. I had prayed and fasted for at least six months without any results. God spoke to me and said, "I will not leave you at the mercy of misery. Your trial is not to destroy you but to deliver you from the dungeons of doubt. I am a rewarder to them that diligently seek me.  Do not spend your day looking in the rear view mirror of life, or you will have a collision. The trail of your faith is more precious than gold. Do you want gold in your hand, or do you want me and all that I have for you?"

I was immediately ashamed of myself and asked God to forgive me of seeking the wrong thing. I refocused my focus and attention on God, and before you know it everything was taken care of in an abundant manner. God and all that he is to us is certainly more precious than all the gold in the earth!

Take your miracle by faith, and rejoice with expectancy. Send praise before your miracle, and allow your praises to become the swaddling clothes for your miracle. Hold the miracle in hands of expectancy, and rejoice before it touches your hands. Believe that you have received it, and you shall surely receive it. The knowledge of the way of Christ has come; therefore, allow these words to guide you in the way of the miraculous. Their way is not unnatural as you have supposed, but they are as natural as the process of the word of God. My word will outlast the heavens and the earth. I have moved upon you by my living word, and you have conceived these miracles. Consider how natural this is. The heavens and the earth are natural to you. Now shall miracles become natural to you. Enter into the ways of heavenly promises. They are sure. My words have come unto you. Now envelop the products of my words with thanksgiving and praise. These products shall surely proceed in your life and bring glory unto me, the promiser.

RE: RHEMA - The Molding by the Hand of Righteousness

Ephesus left its first love. They did not lose it. In other words, it was not an accident. It was a process of decisions over time. We have made deliberate choices to walk in holiness and righteousness. It does not matter how much we are bombarded by every kind of media or medium. We will not behold the images of lust and sin. They have been intellectually repackaged as things of progress and sensitivity. It will never be just a matter of being insensitive to hate sin. God has instructed us to put a difference between the clean and the unclean. We must hate the vile and cling to that which is precious. In the midst of the storm of relativism, we must remember that we have been chosen to be the righteous seed in the earth. We will not dishonor the choice of the King of righteousness. All the storms and difficulties that we have faced in other arenas have shaped us and molded us for the battle and the work of his righteousness in our lives.  We cannot allow faith and love to become perverted in our lives.  God has called us to a walk beyond the reach of cheap trinkets.  Even if the love of many has waxed cold, we will be more intense than ever before in our love for righteousness.

God, I am so thankful that you are so faithful to speak to us. When we have done all that we know how to do and that still doesn’t seem to be enough, you are so faithful and on time. I am so grateful that you are true and righteous. You are a loving father, and you will not leave me at the mercy of misery. I am so grateful that this trial is not to destroy me, but in this trial you have chosen to deliver me from the dungeons of doubt. I thank you for giving me the grace to diligently seek you. You are the rewarder of those that diligently seek you.

I lift my voice in praise today because I do not have to spend my day looking in the rear view mirror of life. I praise you that I can look ahead and not have a collision. I give praise to you in this trial, for this trial of my faith is more precious than gold. I am grateful that through this trial I will not obtain mere earthly gold, but I will obtain all that you have for me.

I thank you today for giving me focus. Lord, please forgive me for seeking the wrong thing. By your grace, I place my attention back on you, and I know that everything will be taken care of in an abundant manner. I thank you for this revelation and the opportunity to know you for who you are. I am grateful that I am your child and you are my father. You are MY GOD, and you are certainly more precious than all the gold in the earth!

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - April 16, 2007

God either allows or disallows everything that comes to our lives. We are in the hands of purpose and destiny. We are being formed and fashioned by every experience and circumstance. We will become the vessels that will present and pour out blessings on other lives that we otherwise would never touch without the hands of the Potter in our lives. He has not come to smash us with suffering. God has come to lift us to dimensions of glory that we would never arrive at unless the trial of life carried us there. Our thanksgiving rises to the one who never views our past but is always creating awesome blessings in our present and placing an exciting future before us.
