Riches Great Enough to Bail Out Perishing Souls Are Found in the Fire of Trial

Go and say, “Lay aside the trumpet to play your own praise. The song of your own praise is not a rich melody. It is an empty tune from sounding brass and tingling cymbals.” Go from the fellowship of those who say they are rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing. They are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. Who they really are cannot be seen for this covering of self-righteousness.  Many have become as men hidden by mounds of self-righteousness with my righteousness concealed. I desire to show you who you really are. The poverty level of your spirituality is not necessary. You may call it riches. You will not be the rich man of God I see hidden until you have allowed the refiner's fire to make you rich. I have sat among my people as a refiner and purifier of silver. They have not counseled with me. They have sought religious experiences that are not worth anything. Allow me to purify you and purge you as gold and silver, then will you offer unto me an offering in righteousness. I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire that you may be rich. The sorcerers and the psychics reign in your territories because you have not sought gold tried in the fire. You are not rich enough to close down their business of deception. Where is the salt of the earth?

Where is the light that dispels the false gods and prevents them from setting up their wares in your community?

Seek the Counselor and ask for gold tried in the fire. You will be given riches that make you powerful enough to bail out perishing souls. Do not hide any longer behind the mounds of self-righteousness. Lay aside this weighty baggage and come forth clothed with new garments instead of the filth of menstrual cloths. Lay aside the tunes of self-praise, and angels shall play the tunes of my righteousness. Obey these words and come forth a new man not seen or heard before.

We must not fill a role as a king-priest-prophet and become like Eli. Eli had long since ceased to hear from God. God picked up a lad that was not a noted person in Samuel. God took the words of Samuel and did not let any of them fall to the ground.  Peter changed from a cursing and denying fisherman to an apostle with power to announce death on the hypocrites and make Simon the sorcerer beg for mercy. God has not called us to hide under self-righteousness or perceived ability of our own but to be a blazing bush of revival fire on the edge of the wilderness of the promised land.  Peter went through some trials to have the authority that was given to him in the Spirit.  We will come forth as pure gold from God's refining process.

435.    Will they mock me?

 

 

        I have given you a relationship with me. I have chastened you many times. I chasten those that I love. Because of my mercy, I have helped you in times of misery. When you have been pitiful, I have lifted you. I am full of compassion. My abundant grace has reached you when sin tripped you.

 

436.    If guilt did not turn off my compassion and unbelief did not cause me to abandon you, why doubt my love now?

I give thanks unto you, O Lord, for the examples you have given to me in your written word. I purpose not to be as Eli, who ceased to hear from you.  You desire for me to hear your voice and to receive your kingdom as a little child. You picked up a lad that was not a noted person in Samuel. You took the words of Samuel and did not let any of them fall to the ground. I give you praise, for the words that proceed out of your mouth shall not return empty, neither will they be void. Your words are true and it is impossible for you to lie. You have not called me to become as a man hidden by mounds of self-righteousness with your righteousness concealed. I am grateful, my King, for your desire is to show me who I really am in you. You have counseled me to buy of you gold tried in the fire that I may be rich and not experience religion that is not worth anything. By your grace, I come forth as pure gold from your refining process. Just as Peter changed from being a cursing and denying fisherman to an apostle with power, I desire to come forth as one announcing your salvation and hope. I am delighted because your grace will bring forth the change needed in my life. You have called me to be a blazing bush of revival fire on the edge of the wilderness of the promised land. I give you thanks and praise for the opportunity to partake in this revival and to experience the power of your salvation.
