A Journey Through Time in the Care of Jesus (Part 4)

SCENE 5

I am your light, the light of the lighthouse. I am the same in a storm. I am the same when there is no storm. I am the Everlasting Father. My love has not faded because of your storms. I have turned the light your way and lifted your hope from despair. You have looked at the rocks all about you and only envisioned trouble. I have lifted your hope and caused you to look into the mind of the hope of glory. Now tell me if you see ruin and defeat, or do you behold the construction of the resurrection? Look unto the Church, and behold the light within the body of Christ. You have looked to the rocks of trouble long enough. Now look to the lighthouse. I have built this refuge upon a rock higher than your storms. Come into this house and rest with the inhabitants of righteousness. They will sing the songs of the redeemed and not the songs of sinners. Give me your old songs, and I will give you my new songs. Rest in the midst of those who have been given peace that passes all understanding.

SCENE 6

You have come to a valley, but remember that the valleys of life are not horrible places of trouble. The valleys of life are the rich places in life where the rich experiences that produce growth are found. Come and journey along this path of valleys. I will show you fresh, still waters and fresh, green grass. You have desired the mountaintop experiences that you might boast of your spiritual accomplishments, but look again to those who have lived on mountaintop experiences and behold how cold they are. You cannot survive on mountaintop experiences, for they are only for a moment. Give me your heart, and I will remove you from the pride of your standing. In your heart, you envision yourself standing on the mountaintop of everything, but now allow me to show you the beauty of the valley. I am not only the God of the mountain, but I am also the God of the valley. Your God shall now show you of the fresh living things in the valleys of life. When you climb your next mountain, you will not faint because of small strength, but you shall climb the mountains of the future with ease. It is the valley experiences that prepare you to climb the mountains of life. Come and prepare for climbing while in the valley.

RE: RHEMA - A Journey Through Time in the Care of Jesus (Part 4)

SCENE 5

The Day Star has risen in our hearts. We are not on an uncharted journey. Storms will not change the compass of his unchanging love. We cry to the Lord in the midst of the winds and waves of our storms, and he will bring us into our desired haven. He will still speak peace to the troubled seas of life and the waves will lie down like lambs at the feet of the Shepherd.

SCENE 6

Refreshing and restoration are in the valleys of life. Much of the vegetation of grace will not grow on the mountaintop. In the midst of the valley, we are strengthened with grace. When we are weak, we have rivers of grace that inundate our lives. Rivers do not flow on the mountaintop. Our journey must take us through a valley, or we will be a barren desert.

Come from your tables of pride and covetousness, and sit with me at the tables of fresh bread and water. I have a refreshing for you in this hour that shall wash away all the debris of the storm of ignorance. There are continual storms of ignorance being poured out by lust and pride. Receive the grace that is being multiplied unto you in this hour, and you will not walk through this life in the filthy garments of misunderstanding and spiritual poverty. I have sent forth fresh waters of the washing of regeneration and a renewing of the Holy Ghost. Be washed again with these fresh waters of cleansing. These waters are sent forth for times like these. Many have refused the washing of the word. Many do not have the living word for washing and cleansing. Will you remain ungrateful and lose the washing of water by the living word?

RE: RHEMA - The Skirt of Love Fixed in the Closet of Faithfulness

As the fig leaves of the garden were a false and insufficient covering, so is the fashion that worldly relationships produce in our lives. Our faithfulness to him is the pure and shining raiment that overshadows the plastic displays of this world. When we eat at the table that feeds spiritual adulterers, we are easily intoxicated on the wine of spiritual fornication. We have but one Beloved. We have been espoused to one husband, and we are so in love with him that we will disregard the flirtation of all other suitors. We are tempted to play the fool when we get off the path of true holiness. We should have such a passionate love for our Beloved that we would never want to bring shame or disgrace to the blood that has washed us within and without from every pollution. We stand in the dressing closets of prayer and prepare our hearts and minds for the wedding. We refuse to dress our thoughts and the words of our mouth with anything but the loving fiber and pattern of the pure words of our Beloved. He found us in a howling wilderness with our nakedness exposed by sin. His grace has brought us out and covered our shame with the skirts of his love.

(Continued)

You have a cross. Now carry it all the way. Lift up your voice in praise and be strengthened by the virtue of divinity that is in you. I died in your place and did already let you go. Barabbas was released and he was a murderer. In the courts of man, a murderer was released and I was sentenced.

175. How much more shall you be released from guilt and condemnation, for I carried the weight of all these things?

My cross I did bear. I was weary, yet was I determined to satisfy your longing to be free. Behold the gaze of disbelief as I carried my cross. A king with a cross and a path not designed for me to travel.

176. Where is your cross and what will you carry in its stead?

177. Where is your love and what will you give in exchange for that which is real if you do not know its meaning?

178. How will you discern truth and error if you have not trodden this path of suffering and public proclamation of love for me?

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - December 28, 2006

Paul declares that he would praise God for the tribulation and the suffering that would come into his life. Even though Paul explained several spiritual mysteries to us and called them mysteries, he did not call the trials storms or suffering of life a mystery. He learned in dire circumstances of his own to be content in whatsoever state he was in. If godliness with contentment is great gain, then the states of adversity were positive and enhancing experiences for the believer. Paul had a direct audience with God about the messenger of Satan that buffeted him, and God explained that it was in the problems of life that the power of grace was multiplied. Our flesh does not like uncertainty and having to wait and be patient under pressure. God in his wisdom knows how to fashion our vessels into a vessel of honor that will pour forth the blessings of grace upon others. If we were left alone with no resistance in our lives, we would become soft and very sluggish in our walk with God. Jesus Christ has promised us a fellowship in the midst of our suffering and our storms. He promised he would never leave us at the whim of the circumstance. We can be glad that we know that his purpose is to bring us forth as the pure gold image that will reflect his glory and not our own.

Jesus, I thank you for being my light, the light of the lighthouse. You are the same in a storm and the same when there is no storm. You are my Everlasting Father. I am so thankful that your love has not faded because of my storms. I am grateful that you turned the light my way and lifted my hope from despair. I have looked at the rocks all about me and only envisioned trouble, but you have lifted my hope and caused me to look into the mind of the hope of glory. I behold the construction of the resurrection. I look unto the Church and behold the light within the body of Christ. I have looked to the rocks of trouble long enough. Now I look to you, the lighthouse. I thank you for building this refuge upon a rock higher than my storms. I have come into your house, and I rest with the inhabitants of righteousness. They will sing the songs of the redeemed and not the songs of sinners. I rejoice and I give you my old songs as you give me your new songs. I rest in the midst of those who have been given peace that passes all understanding.

I have come to a valley, but I remember that the valleys of life are not horrible places of trouble. I am grateful that your wisdom has shown me that the valleys of life are the rich places in life where the rich experiences that produce growth are found. By your grace, I will journey along this path of valleys as you show me fresh, still waters and fresh, green grass. I have desired mountaintop experiences that I might boast of my spiritual accomplishments, but I look again to those who have lived on mountaintop experiences and behold how cold they are. I cannot survive on mountaintop experiences, for they are only for a moment. I give you my heart, and I allow you to remove me from the pride of my standing. When I climb my next mountain, I will not faint because of small strength, but I shall climb the mountains of the future with ease because of your grace. Thank you for showing me that it is the valley experiences that prepare me to climb the mountains of life. My soul is glad because you have prepared me for climbing while in the valley.

I am thankful because you are the Day Star that has risen in my heart. I am not on an uncharted journey. I take comfort in knowing that no storm can change the compass of your unchanging love. When I cry out to you in the midst of the winds and waves of my storms, I thank you for always bringing me into my desired haven. Thank you for speaking peace to the troubled seas of my life and for causing the waves to lie down like lambs at your feet my Shepherd.
