The Song of Hunger and the Melody of Slumber Must Be Shut Out of the Chamber of the Heart

A relationship with me requires sacrifice. I came and gave myself for your sins. A ransom was paid for you to enter into this holy communion. Before faith came, men were shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. The law was their schoolmaster to bring them to Christ that they might be justified by faith. A schoolmaster is no longer the teacher because faith has come. By faith in Christ Jesus, you are all the children of God. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. You are all one in Christ Jesus, and if you be Christ's then are you Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. By faith, offer the sacrifice of praise. Disregard the struggle of the body and the opposition of the flesh. Greater am I who is in you than all the things opposing you. I have won the struggle against the flesh, the world, and the devil. My ransom that I gave is sufficient. It is not an empty expression. The ransom was my life. I gave my life as a ransom for the sins of the whole world. Refuse to be in bondage to weak elements that come and beg for cooperation with them to gain power over you.

Crucify the flesh with its affections and lusts. Mortify the deeds of the body in every way. Do not allow it to have its way at the altar of worship and devotion to me. Cast it down at my feet as an offering unto me. Disregard its feelings. Neglect the desires of your body and offer it as a reasonable service. Omit the meaningless expressions of its language. Cease being attentive to its subtle distractions. Slight your body and give total regard to me. Ignore its appeal for an easy path without the cross of denial. There is a body language that you have not considered. The language of the body is not always clearly understood. I understand the language of your body. Offer it as a sacrifice, and it will cease its mysterious expressions that are sent forth to confound your offerings unto me. The song of hunger must be totally ignored at the altar of devotion unto me. The melody of slumber with its solo of false peace and persuasive thoughts of misplaced priorities must be shut out of the chamber of your heart. Insult the language of your body by the sound of sacrificial praises in the face of its slurred language of war. Speak the confidence of the Spirit and declare victory over the flesh and a weary body. My grace is sufficient for you.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."

Words of Light upon the Face of the Language of the Body, the Devil, Distractions, the Flesh, and the World

A relationship with God requires sacrifice. Jesus came and gave himself for my sins. A ransom was paid for me to enter into this holy communion. The ransom was his life and he gave his life as a ransom for the sins of the whole world. I refuse to be in bondage to weak elements that come and beg for cooperation with them in order to gain power over me.

I choose to crucify the flesh with its affections and lusts. I will mortify the deeds of my body in every way, and I will not allow it to have its way at the altar of worship and devotion to the Lord. I cast down my flesh at the feet of the Lord as an offering unto him and I disregard its feelings. I purpose to neglect the desires of my body and offer it as a reasonable service. RE: RHEMA - The Song of Hunger and the Melody of Slumber Must Be Shut Out of the Chamber of the Heart

We must present our body a living sacrifice to God. We seem to run on nothing when we are excited about something in life. If we lose our excitement for Jesus Christ and the things of his kingdom, we have a tendency to become weary and faint in our minds and spirits. He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might he will increase their strength. Jesus told the disciples in the garden that the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. Jesus’ chosen disciples slept through the transfiguration and the agony in the garden. By choosing to sleep they missed both of these great experiences. Satan will try to bring a spirit of slumber with him. When we wake to God’s greatness, we can run for days on the revelation of his power. Our human nature will contend for its own way. We need to tell it to sit down and shut up because we are seeking after God. Satan is not our worst enemy. Satan has been conquered. Our flesh has to be dealt with on a daily basis. If we destroy the things in our body that bring us harm, then we shall live in the presence of the One who completely denied himself.

I hear the voice of my people. Some are in very deep valleys and in great distress. Open your ears unto the voices of those in desperate need. Faint is the sound of many of their voices. Just above a whisper, some cry out. With very little clarity, many speak but are not understood. Where are the friends that should stick close to these?

Do not let your response be according to their faithfulness. Many times their unfaithfulness is rooted in their weakness because they do not have a friend. Do not be hasty in judging the actions of the people, for many times their actions are the expressions of weak, friendless people who have lost hope in the faith. Raise the hope of the people with the love of a friend. My word is in you, and by your words strength will be restored to those weak in the faith. The language of the weak is not an unknown tongue. Those who call themselves friends do not hear their speech, for the love of many is waxing cold. Warm by the fire of my word in you. Allow the fire of praise to shoot forth inside of you. Speak in psalms and hymns that bring these fiery praises unto the hearts of the weak. The friendship in the body must grow beyond being associates in the faith. Many are only companions in a common cause. This is friendship, but should your friendship remain so small?

Should your friendship remain so distant when love and trust should be growing?

Grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord. If you are righteous, your friendship should flourish as the palm tree. You should be as the dew unto those who are dry. Your roots should be a strong support. Your branches should spread beyond your own tree, and your beauty should be as the olive tree. The fragrance of your praise should have a pleasant odor. Stretch forth the shadow of your friendship, and cover others during their heated trials. Water the friendless, and revive them as fertile corn. I have joined you to abundant grace. Now give the same grace to others whose reach has been shortened by the famine of the hearing of my word.

RE: RHEMA - Bread and Wine for Encouragement During the Time of Persecution

Jesus will prepare a table before us in the presence of our enemies. The word for enemies in the Hebrew is “tawsar.” It means not the combat person but distress, trouble, pressure, and affliction. Our bread and wine are supplied by the express angels that brought bread and honey in the wilderness. His suffering is bread and wine that feed the heart with its strength and power. Encouragement will be the elegant dessert after each meal. In worship and praise, we will rejoice and know that the Lord is good all the time.

(Continued)

Do not allow your heart to be secretly enticed, for I shall punish all evildoers. Do not deny me by your works, for I am the God that is above. Be careful that you do not secretly rejoice at the destruction of those who hate you or lift up yourself when evil finds them. Do not suffer your mouth to sin by wishing a curse to his soul, but pray for those who have despitefully used you. Learn to keep your mouth with a bridle and to not sin with your tongue. Your days are as a vapor and your age is as nothing. At your best state, you are altogether vanity.

334.    It does not profit you anything to walk in a vain show of pride, for if you gather up riches, who shall gather them up after you?

If your riches increase, do not set your heart upon them, for power belongs unto me only. Mercy belongs unto me, and I will render to every man according to his work. When pride comes, then comes shame, but with the lowly is wisdom. Be filled with integrity and it shall guide you. Only righteousness shall deliver you. Riches do not profit you in the day of wrath. A wicked man shall fall by his own wickedness, but the righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way. Lay up your treasure in heaven.

335.    How much mercy and love have you laid up in heaven?

336.    How much favor have you given others?

Lord, I thank you for giving yourself for my sins.  I am so grateful for your precious blood that washes me and cleanses me on a continual basis. By faith, I am offering the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving because I know that without you I would have no hope.  I am elated that you are allowing me to build a relationship with you; therefore, I must present my body a living sacrifice unto you. I pray that I never lose my excitement for you or the things of your kingdom. You, my King, have empowered me with your Spirit and loosed me from my tendency to become weary. I will not faint, neither will my strength be diminished.  Though my human nature contends for its own way, I purpose to remember your great sacrifice for me, and I will counter my flesh with the directive to sit down and shut up.  Now more than ever is the time to seek you with a whole heart.  Grant me single-mindedness today Lord, and let me not go astray in my thoughts or actions.  Keep me in all of my ways.  I desire to please you and to become the woman (man) of God that you have designed.  This can only happen if I continually yield my will unto you.  I lift my hands in surrender, and I relinquish my own will.  Grant me the grace to cast down my flesh daily and to seek your plan for my life. Cleanse me with hyssop this morning and make me whiter than snow.  Let your praises be as honey on my lips and my heart full of gratitude. Let a new hunger and thirst for your righteousness overtake me that I would not be the same. I lift my eyes to the brighter days ahead, and I thank you for the fire of your love that is consuming everything that is in me that is a hindrance to my relationship with you. Today, I cast down vain imaginations, lusts and every thought that would attempt to be exalted above your knowledge. You are my head and I rejoice for you, my God, reign supreme.

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - October 2, 2007

Our flesh gets excited about the things that will fulfill its lust. In Paul's writings, we are told that the spirit also lusts against the flesh. When the Psalms speaks of the word glad, it has to do with things that are thrilling. We must never loose the excitement we have for the things of God. It should send a thrill of excitement through our soul to think of prayer and worship. God's word should cause us to dance in expectation like someone turning on an iPod. There are pleasures in the sins of the flesh for a season, but in the presence of God and all that he is, there are pleasures forevermore. Everlasting joy anoints the heads of those who will deny and denounce the flesh. They soar on wings of delirious joy on the winds of the treasures that are opened before them.
