The Need to Repent of Covetousness and Idolatry

My loving-kindness is enough for you in this hour of failure and a great falling away. I have more than a legal obligation towards you. I have generously expressed my mercy and loyalty toward you. My love toward you is steadfast. I am faithful. I have given you an everlasting covenant and the sure mercies of David. My kindness toward you is far beyond any legal agreement; therefore, I will always be merciful to you. Be merciful to others and love it. You needed redemption from all the things that were against you, and I abounded toward you in loving-kindness. My love will last forever. It will preserve you and cast out all your fears. I have called you and chosen you. I do not forsake my covenant because you have been unfaithful. Although you will be disciplined for your unfaithfulness, you can count on my faithfulness. I will abundantly pardon you and have mercy upon everyone that returns unto me. My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. I have sent my word out of my mouth, and it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
My going forth is prepared as the morning. I have come forth unto you as the rain. Be merciful to others as I am unto you, for I desire mercy and not sacrifice. Many people who call themselves priests murder the names of the innocent. This is lewd. There is whoredom among the people, for the horrible things of idolatry are committed without a conscience that is grieved. I will bring conviction in the midst of my people again. By the mercies of God, conviction will grasp the hearts of the people again. I am the Lord who is merciful, gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. You have found grace in my sight. I desire to give this same unmerited favor to others though they are stiff-necked. My people are covetous and idolatrous. I am a jealous God, for my name is Jealous. They cannot worship another god. They call upon me, but their hearts are far from me. Go and declare my realness and the need to repent.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light, and there was light."
Words of Light upon the Face of Covetousness, Failure, Fear, Idolatry, Lewdness, Unfaithfulness, and Whoredom

RE: RHEMA - The Need to Repent of Covetousness and Idolatry
Our need for God is overwhelming. Everyone who is arrogant enough to place themselves above that need will crash into utter ruin. All of us are sinners who have been forgiven and continue to be forgiven. Jesus indicated the merciful would be happy and would obtain mercy. It could be said that the unmerciful are perfectly miserable. Guilt, condemnation, and fear have the ability to create a torture chamber in our lives that is horrible. Pardon of wrong doing is as if it never happened. We need to make room in our forgiveness for the mistakes of others. Most of us will tolerate something forever in ourselves and not even a second in others. An unmerciful spirit directs everything toward themselves. We become our own god and measure of what is right. Jesus asked everyone one day to go and learn what it meant to have mercy and not sacrifice. We can do many things in the kingdom of God, withhold our mercy and forgiveness, and create idols to our own hurt and pain. We may work hard at cleaning or maintaining the house of God as a physical structure and allow unforgiveness to fill our own lives with its garbage. Every child of God needs to ask God on a daily basis to create a clean heart in them and renew a right spirit toward others.

You are being secretly pursued. Suspicion is rampant on every side. A sea of darkness is your pathway. Walk on in faith. It is your enemies that shall drown in this sea of darkness. My light shall trouble them and bring great peace from the secret place of thunder. Weak, sinful vessels have accused you. Their sins shall be their snares and their chains. The subtlety of their efforts shall be used to bind them with fear from out of the unknown. Those who have secretly arisen in the dark shall be opposed by the fear in their dark chambers of secret plots. All shall know that the God of Israel is fighting for you. Behold the pathway of faith through the walls of darkness on the left and on the right. Come. Walk hurriedly in faith and holiness. You shall not drown. I have held back the walls of these dark waters. Those who seek to drown you shall drown. Pray for them, and save yourself from their demise. Man looks from without with his dark schemes from the mind. Look within to the secret of my presence. The brightness within you shall become the lightning of my thunder. The lightning shall discomfit every opposition, and my voice shall utter great and mighty things. My voice shall create channels of fresh waters. These waters shall carry you unto places of prosperity. They shall carry you to deliverance from the strong enemy and things that were too strong for you. I am the hand that will cause your stability. I am the one who will bring you into a large place. Deliverance is yours. I will reward you according to my righteousness. The kingdom and my righteousness have been sought. Now behold the treasures and riches in secret places of the darkness of your trials.

RE: RHEMA - The Ministry of the Spirit upon the Foundations of Mercy
Condemnation never came looking for us after we failed. Judgment always writes us off as a lost cause. Mercy prepares a million menus of meals, and it will prepare to revive the most miserable soul. God always shows up as he did in Eden at the same place we left him. He will search for us as a shepherd does his sheep. God's Spirit does not seek a hatchet or a bat to beat us into subjection. Mercy will take the hands of grace wounded by Calvary and let its wounds hold our broken pieces together until we are made whole. Mercy prepares us a mattress that is like the pristine meadows of heaven's highlands. We will rest on the unshakable foundations of mercy.

Every man shall be rewarded according to his works. Lay up treasures in heaven where thieves do not break through nor steal. Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Do not lay up for yourself treasures upon earth where moth and rust corrupt.
331. What have you gained if you have made gold your hope or said to the fine gold, "Thou are my confidence?"
332. What do you have if you have great wealth and hands that have gotten much?
333. If destruction from me becomes a terror unto you, and you become the enemy of God, what do you have on your side?

Thank you for your loving-kindness this morning. I recognize the great need I have for you this day. All have fallen short, and yet my sins are continually forgiven. I am blessed to know that I do not have to be like the unmerciful and live miserably, but I can be happy giving mercy to others. I express my thankfulness because I do not have to live in the torture chambers of guilt, condemnation, and fear. This liberty allows room in me to forgive others. Today, remove the unmerciful spirit from me that I might not be in the business of judging what is right. Allow your grace to keep me clean from the garbage of unforgiveness. Thank you for creating in me a clean heart and renewing a right spirit toward others within me.

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - October 1, 2007
Extremely happy are the merciful for they are truly free. When we forgive and let go of the right to hurt back or get even, we are free from the toxins that prevent the rivers of gratitude from flowing in our lives. When we forgive and are merciful, we do not have the stumbling blocks of offense in our lives. Offense is like a trip string on a mine or the trap string on a snare. It is not the string that hurts you. It is what is attached to the other end. Offenses quickly become a reason to not serve God, love God, or one another. Mercy clears the road ahead of us of obstacles that would send us on dangerous detours. Mercy is the best path because all the Lord's paths are merciful.
