SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Spiritual Storms

March 11, 2005

God does not forsake his people when the storms of life come. He is my power source when I am without power and without strength. The enemy laughs in the face of the fearful and the unbelievers, but Jesus is the joy for those who trust in him. The winds of life bend those who thought they were unbendable. When the winds of adversity come my way, he lifts up his standard against them. There is no storm that can overcome him, for he is the head of all principality and power. I will not fear, for he holds all these things in his hands. God will crush all my adversaries and bring me to the dry ground of victory. Redemption abides in me. I will not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrows that fly in the daytime. The Lord is with me as he said he would be. I lift up my voice in praise and know that he has already overcome all of my adversaries.

Jesus is the light of my life. The darkness cannot overtake me, for he has put all these things behind me. I lift up my voice in praise and sound the trumpet of joy. He has caused me to triumph through my own praises. The light of the glorious gospel has wielded a crushing blow to the darkness. I lift up my head and see that he is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The enemy's Jericho cannot stand against the praises of the people of God. The Lord has sent his right hand against the walls of resistance to his will. I do not think that these giant walls before me will stand in the presence of his force of power. He shall cause all of these walls to fall and bring me victoriously over all these things.

I will not fear, for God has not forgotten his promises unto me. His love for me did not fade in the presence of these things that have threatened me. Jesus is the King of kings and the Lord of lords; therefore, I will not fear, but I will be of good cheer. Christ has overcome the world and all of its friends. I will not be a friend to the world and become at enmity with God. Light has no fellowship with darkness, and God's temple has no fellowship with the temple of the idols of the day. God will not abide in the temple of idols because of his blood, but he will abide in the temples of godliness. His word has gone out of his mouth, and it will not return to him empty or void. I will go unto the places of true holiness and true godliness. There will I find the presence of royalty and the power that breaks all yokes. I will go and let God show me the slain giants that have fought against me.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
