SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of a Spiritual Attack

February 2, 2005

God is for me; therefore, no one can be against me. I determine not to be disturbed by the strategies of the enemy. Jesus defeated him at Calvary. I am on the winning side. I purpose not to be distracted by his line of attack. Though the enemy comes against my mind, the source of my security is not weakened by his assault. I will not be forced to take a defensive position because of this onslaught. I allow God to defend me. The battle is his. The victory that he has won belongs to me. He won at Calvary. God prevails in every battle that I enter into for his name's sake. I am here because of him; therefore, I know he has not ceased to fight for me now. I will not be afraid in this confrontation. God is with me. He brought me out of darkness. Now I am in the light. I will not come to the light and be terrified because of the enemy that approaches me. I will not let my heart faint, neither fear. Jesus is the Lord, my God, and he goes with me to fight against my enemies to save me. I prepare stones for memorials for my children in each battle so that I may remind them of the conflicts won by him. My stones for memorials shall be commemorative plaques that will prompt them to remember the hand of the Lord that was mighty on my behalf.

Though a leviathan comes against me, I will not fear. God will speak unto the monsters that are sent against me. My ways have pleased him. Now he will make even my enemies to be at peace with me. Everything that is under heaven is the Lord's, and all things are under his authority. Though my enemies come with smoke coming out their nostrils and flames coming out of their mouths, I will not be afraid of what they can do unto me. I remember, they can have no power at all against me except it is given them from above. Their sins will be greater if they attack me; therefore, I rest in the things that God allows. Though the king of pride comes against me, I determine not to be terrified. Jesus is pride's king, for he is King of kings and Lord of lords. Pride rises up, and the mighty are afraid. The arrows of the strongest warrior cannot make pride flee. Pride laughs at the powerful weapons that are turned against it, yet God has subdued all things under his feet; therefore, all things are under my feet, for I am in him. God has not given me fruit and left it for the wild beasts to trample it under their feet. My fruit is protected by divine strength. I have not come to this time in the battle to doubt God's favor.

I will not be troubled by the hammering forces against me. They cannot invalidate my victory. My victory cannot be overturned, nor destroyed. I will not allow the fear of these forces to make me an invalid. The power of these forces is without a foundation of truth; therefore, I will not fear, neither will I be afraid. Many are suffering needlessly because they became afraid when they were intimidated by unbelief. Many have become invalids and been removed from active duty as mighty believers of the faith. I will not join the band of weak believers on the bed of invalids. The enemy cannot nullify God's promises made to me. He has not opened his mouth and lied. It is impossible for him to lie; therefore, I elect not to be turned back in the day of battle. God's promises are not annulled by the words of my foes. His promises are powerful. No one will make them unacceptable.

Jesus is the Lord, my God, who made the clouds, the garment thereof, and thick darkness, a swaddling band for it. He broke up for it a decreed place and set bars and doors and said, "Thus far shall you come, but no further. Be thou stayed all you proud waves." He will say unto my trouble, "Cease your rage. Depart into the darkness." I believe.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
