SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Rejection

January 28, 2005

The Lord has not revoked his promises unto me. All of his promises are yea and amen. Everything that he has promised, he will fulfill. He has said unto me in times past not to be surprised at who leaves my ministry. I will not grieve for them. God is drawing people, and he is blowing people away. No man knows his heart. It is desperately wicked and deceitful above all things. No one can know it. There are people among us that think evil thoughts and listen to deceitful spirits. Only those of a pure heart will be left standing as the wave of deception moves through the earth. I will not draw back when people leave. Everyone that leaves will be replaced by at least two. Sometimes, they will be replaced by multitudes.

Jesus is the good shepherd, and all souls are his. He has made me a pastor. I simply pastor those who will allow me to. I will not waste time on those who are led by another spirit or seek their own way without my counsel. I relinquish them to God, for he is the chief shepherd. It is their loss, not mine. He has given me much. He has allowed the people to taste of what he has given me. When they reject me, they reject the things that he is giving me for them. Some will walk away and leave a table full of blessings. They have been spoiled. The Lord has admonished the people to beware lest any man spoil them through philosophy or vain deceit. The deception of the devil is rampant, and philosophy seeks to replace truth. Only those who do not believe will leave our congregation after hearing the words spoken by Grigsby about the future of the congregation and the ministry God has placed in our midst. Some will leave, for they have eyes to see and see not, ears to hear and they hear not. I have reviewed some of the things that God has promised in the past. Nothing has fallen to the ground unfulfilled.

I trust the relationship that God has authored. It is not a farce. He brought me to this valley to build a mighty church. It is being built. He will finish what he started. Not everyone that came here, came for God's purpose; therefore, they will not all be a part of this mighty church that he is building. I will gather together my sons and daughters. I will make sure they understand sonship. Many among us have never become sons. They are in a constant search for a home. Love will cause them to desire me as a father. If love does not convince them, then they are here for the wrong reason. The Lord brought everyone here and offered them a relationship with me as a father and child. Not everyone will accept it. I will not allow rejection to distract me. Those who do not accept me will pass through our midst in search of another father. I will not despise them. The Lord is rejected each day, yet he remains love. Men rejected Jesus; hence, they will reject me.

I have not seen the depth of the ministry that God has given to me. The treasures that are to come in the future are worth waiting to behold. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man, the good things that God has prepared for me. I will gird up my loins and extend my faith. There are new dimensions ahead that will cause me to rejoice greatly. I leap for joy. The Lord has revived me by his spirit. I lift up my voice in praise and ignore the rejection thrown into my heart. God is healing me while I yet write. I do not look back, and I will forget the things that are behind. I reach forth unto the things that are before me, for the blessings are in front of me, not behind me; therefore, I will walk on.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
