The Knock of the Bridegroom at the Door of My Heart

By Moses Hightower

I have knocked at the door of your heart this morning. If you will hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and will sup with you. You must desire to sup with me if you are to receive the inspiration and fellowship that I have designed for you to receive. I have removed sleep from your eyes, but is your heart awake?

Does your heart know that it is the voice of your beloved that knocks?

I have placed my hand by the hole of the door of your heart, but you were not moved for me. You were moved for other things that had no real value. What value have you placed on this fellowship and communion that has been offered to you?

You must learn to open unto me immediately when I call at the door of your heart, or you shall miss my coming. Those who wait on me will hear me when I come and knock so that they may open unto me immediately. This is a precious thing that has been given to you. You have taken it for granted. Instead of hands of gratitude and fingers of affection for me, you have given your hands and fingers to other things in the morning. I could have withdrawn myself and left the door of your heart, but my loving-kindness motivated me to linger at the door of your heart. I am not far from anyone of my people. If they would only happily feel after me and seek me with all of their heart, they would find me.

The world cannot know me, but you know me. I have given you peace and many blessings. The things that I have given you are not as the things that the world gives, so do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Rise up with a grateful heart and be filled with the voice of thanksgiving. Blessed are the people of the Lord who will be found watching. I will make everyone who watches to sit down and eat meat with me. Do not lose your relationship with me to a thief. I will come in an hour that you think not; therefore, be ready always. If you do not have faith to watch, then how will you have faith as a grain of mustard seed?

If you do not have faith to say unto yourself, “Watch”, how will you say unto the sycamine tree, “Be thou plucked up by the root and be planted in the sea”?

Arise and worship out of a love for me and not out of duty. Do you love me?

Then keep my words. I will come unto you continually if you love me and keep my sayings. These words that you are hearing are the words of the Father who lives inside of you. Be thankful that you are called and chosen. Now be faithful. Prepare yourself for my coming. My wife will make herself ready. She shall be given grace that she might be arrayed in fine linen, clean, and white. She shall be adorned with the righteousness of saints. I have sent out the call unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. If you dishonor me, how will you be ready when I come for my wife?

Though you express gladness and rejoice to the music in your worship services, these things will not prepare you for the catching away of my wife. You must give honor to me in all things. Prepare yourself, for heaven is being prepared to open up as I prepare to judge and make war. The armies of heaven are prepared already. I shall tread the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of God. I shall come with my armies. All shall know that I am KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. Call on my name and be delivered, for the hour cometh when I shall come to judge all ungodliness. I have sanctified you through the truth. Remain faithful and receive the grace to endure unto the end, then you will be saved.

INGRATITUDE, COLD LOVE, AND SPIRITUAL SLEEP

RE: RHEMA - The Knock of the Bridegroom at the Door of My Heart

Revelation's verses present a heavenly lover knocking on the door and desiring access. The Song of Solomon pictures the bridegroom on the outside and the bride asleep in the inside. When she gets to the door with a rather tardy response, he is gone. We do not want to allow ourselves to get in this relationship with Jesus. We want to be quick to hear and respond to the voice of the Holy Ghost. We do not know when he will come, and we must not be asleep. Just as the disciples were in the midst of the storm and he would have passed them by if they had not cried out, we need to cry out to him. He desires to share depths of relationships that we can only dream about. We can be weighted down with the cares of this life, but we need to lay aside every weight and sin that would easily beset us. We can be so busy doing good things that we leave the best undone. We can be in a Martha cleaning mode when we need to be in a Mary at his feet mode. We can be caught away in the mechanics of a service and not be enamored with the master of the wind. Our hearts can sail on the winds of the wings of musical inspiration when we ignore the giver of all inspiration. We need to prepare our hearts for the catching away of the bride of Christ. We need to be earnestly expecting his footfall at our door and his hand on our hand and lives. It is nigh, even at the door.

The light of love shined in your heart and face again. The spectrum of love presented you with the awesome power of my manifold character. I have revealed to you that I am love and light. This love and light have presented you with all that I am. My wisdom is a part of this love-light. My righteousness is a part of this spectrum of light. My counsel and might are part of this spectrum that allows you to be clothed in a garment of righteousness. This garment is of many colors. You have been given favor and position above all the principalities and powers. The rulers in the darkness of this world cannot lay claim to what you have been given, neither can their images boast of the emblem that you wear. Lay hold on this emblem of eternal life, and do not be ashamed of the good news within you. The power of God unto salvation cannot be annulled. It is an eternal expression that has stamped its emblem of life in the earth. I have drawn my line in time and stamped the proof of my love on the enemy's door and taken away his keys. Lift up your voice in praise, for I have made you glad again in the presence of spirits of sadness and misunderstanding.

RE: RHEMA - The Good Shepherd's Compassionate Help During a Distressful Dilemma

Our shepherd has given his life for the sheep. He will never disown us. Even if we deny him, he cannot deny himself. This statement in the scripture means that he will never unlamb himself. This is a strange term. It means that he will never unlove us. He will never go back and look at the cross and say that it was not worth all the sacrifice. He will present the church to himself with great joy. Every difficulty and distress has its resounding response in the actions and words of the good shepherd of the sheep.

God's voice spoke to me and said, "I will not lead you off a cliff, nor will I allow your feet to stumble down the mountains of impossibility. I will remove the mountains and turn the path before you into miracles. You are not reaping a harvest of famine, but the feast of fresh Rhema is on the table before you. My words will come to pass in your life and ministry. Let not the ropes and chains of stress cause you to worry or fret. Rejoice in my provision for you. Behold it is all around you."

God will take the images that we do not understand and turn them into portraits of power. He always brings us to visions of things that we do not understand in order to take us and lead us beyond our understanding into the throne room of the unlimited. We will cast off the garments of the defeated and wear the garments of victory. His glory will never be diminished by the evil work that is whirling around us. We are in the center of the whirlwind of Ezekiel, and we shall stand before the throne of freedom, even as other kingdoms rule the rest of the earth. He will carry us as his lambs to the resting place of peace.

Relinquish the leading of your life unto me and not yourself. I know the beginning and the ending. Trust the divine knowledge and wisdom of your owner. I created you. I know what specifications are within you.

240. What do you know about yourself?

You know very little in comparison to what I know about you. Before I fashioned you, I had a design for you.

241. Now that you are made, have I forgotten the design and the fulfillment of why I made you?

RE: PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING - January 21, 2007

From the very beginning of time, God has knocked on the door of man's existence desiring daily communion with him. It is this relationship that we were designed and created for. Here is the only place where we will find completeness and total happiness. God's fervent desire to be with us should warm our hearts beyond the ability of the cold hands of confusion to chill us. Jesus told us not to allow our hearts to be troubled. Yet, when we allow our fleshly mind to get the upper hand, we wander in the forests of fear. Jesus has not given us the spirit of dread but of power and the firm consolation that he loves us. Lackadaisical attitudes and taking the things of God for granted can rob me of the treasure of this relationship. I can become distant and cool to his approaches and recline on the bed of ease and lukewarmness. Our awareness of his soon return should heighten our urgency and intensity to be with him. In the Song of Solomon, it is declared that his companions hear his voice. It then follows the request of causing us to hear his voice. We need to spring to the door of our existence when we sense the presence of the beloved of our soul. He has come for us when he could have gone elsewhere. We are more than favored and honored. We are loved!
