SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

OF FAITH

Series 3.3.21 - #80

Words of Light Upon the Face of Despair, Helplessness, and Weariness

March 21, 2005

My liberation has already come. My peace has already been issued, and my joy has been restored. The light of God's glorious gospel has brought unto me great joy and great liberation, but to those who do not know him, it has brought unto them the occasion of stumbling. He is the stumbling stone and the rock of offense. I am determined not to stumble at the faith that is set before me, but I rise up on this stone of the corner, and I am lifted up above the storms of this life.

The Lord's kingdom is exalted, and it is growing exceedingly great. The increase of his kingdom has no end. Time comes to an end, but his kingdom shall be exalted forever. I lift up my head from the pull of weariness and despair. The gravity of despair is no match for the lift-off of the resurrection. By the same power that raised up Jesus' body from death, he lifts me up out of the gravity of weariness and helplessness. The strength of the resurrection cannot be contended with by the army of darkness. The artillery of the Spirit of God has an arsenal of consuming fire power that cannot be defeated. I am already the victor. He has given me the victory by his cross. I come unto God, and he will give me rest in the midst of the storm. I will turn to the stronghold and go unto the people and tell them to come out of the pits that they have hewn out for themselves. I will tell them to come out of the pits wherein there is no water. Jesus has brought unto me the waters of life. Rivers reside inside of me, and the power of the resurrection stands firm in the face of every adversity.

I do not rely on myself, neither on human resources, but I rely totally on the spiritual provision of my God. He is El-Shaddai, the God who is more than enough. His resources cannot be exhausted. Even in the time of famine, his resources are the same. He is, and he will be. I come into his presence with thanksgiving and exalt him with my praises. He will fill my praises with the glorious presence of the God of joy. He has strength to give me. I turn from my weeping, for he has given me a new garment. I give him my garment of heaviness. I give him my sadness. I give him my despair. I give him my worry. He has an exchange that shall cause even my ashes to become beauty before my eyes. That which should have been ashes in my eyes and the blinding of my vision, shall be received by God, and in return, he shall give me the beauty of his provision.

I purpose to let my light shine in these dark, evil days. He has not called me to sit in a corner of darkness and run away from the trouble of the age, but he has called me to shine in the midst of the darkness, always holding forth the word of life. He has placed the word of life within me. His word of life creates in me and through me, as it did in the very beginning. I am now the word made flesh. He is now embodied in me. We are one, and now the power of the resurrection demonstrates its effect through me, his body. I prepare for the awesome demonstration of God Almighty in his body, the Church. My eyes shall see the mighty demonstration of the Mighty God in his body. He is with me always even unto the end of the age. I believe.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
