Words
of Light Upon the Face of Ruin and Shame
March
14, 2005
God's way is certainly not my way. If his way were my way, then
I would have already perished. He has said no to many of my
prayers and petitions because of his love and his divine plan
for my life. When I gave myself to him, he received me with
no hesitation. He has not relinquished me to myself again, but
he holds fast to me willingly. He has plans for my life and
my future that cannot be expressed with the words and ideals
of my mind. My mind cannot comprehend the will of God for my
life, for my mind is from the origin of that which is finite.
I will not be not troubled by what my mind perceives as postponement
and delay, but I look to the perception of the mind of Christ.
The
distractions of the hour are from the inspiration of Satan.
The storm of his war tactics cannot disrupt the peace that God
is within me. He has brought the peace that produces rest and
calm in the midst of the storm. I do not worry, neither do I
fret, for the Lord has brought unto me the glorious gospel,
which is the power of God unto everything that I need. I have
not preached in vain, neither shall he suffer me to be a castaway.
He has not forgotten me, neither was his promises to me futile
and empty. He has given me directions, and he will confirm his
words unto me speedily. I do not look upon the uncertainty of
human reasoning, for I will not find the answer in that which
is of the flesh. He has said unto me, "Have no confidence
in the flesh, and trust not in the arm of flesh." The flesh
of man will surely fail me. Trusting in that which is weak in
the face of impossibility cannot become my strength in the time
of trouble.
I
am determined not to lean to my own understanding, for I do
not have the ability to understand spiritual things with my
mind. He has brought to me the grace to trust in him with all
my heart. Now I lean not to my own understanding, neither will
I trust in the chariots and horses of the hour. Jesus is the
resurrection, and he is the life. From the corruptibility of
destruction's arm, he does save me. The enemy has swung his
mighty arm of corruption into my life and awaited the smell
of defeat to rise up before my friends and those who have trusted
in my ministry. He has come forth with the fresh breath of incorruptibility
in the face of defeat and breathed new life into me. I stand
on my feet in the face of the adversary's threat, and I see
the salvation of my God. The Lord brings down the strongholds
that have embedded themselves into my life and in my home. Their
bunkers cannot stand in the face of the onslaught of his power
that he shows forth in my presence. He is against the enemy
of my soul, and he has arisen with the victory of his cross.
The
wings of faith shall become my vehicle as he flies me out of
the pits of despair and ruin. Ruin's scheme created a crater
of a valley within my life, but he will take this deep crater
of depression and make it the scene of victory and testimonies.
He shall bring forth the testimonies of my mouth and heart that
others may know of the faithfulness of the Lord God. I am not
intimidated any longer, neither do I appear as a worm before
the prince of the power of the air, but I stand with my sword
drawn and my armor on, for I must swing my sword mightily and
valiantly in battle.
I
come away from Shame's ledge of judgment. He that led me to
look down at his impending threat of torture is a liar with
no power to execute his threat. Jesus has bound up my enemies
and led them away captive. Now I arise, and I am refreshed in
his love and confidence. He does reaffirm his love to me with
a fresh vision of his expression of love, which is a new perception
of him laying down his life for me. I choose to stop looking
upon that which I have given and begin looking upon that which
he has given. Now I see his love for me in the proper perspective.

Hebrews
10:22 - 23
Let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)
Ephesians
2:8-9
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
