SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of a Storm

March 8, 2005

I am not frustrated by the trial's effect. The gale of its approach is intimidating to my flesh, but I am not disturbed by the manner of its approach, for it is under God's subjection. The waves that approach shall not go over my head, for he has lifted me up into another place with him. He cannot be overrun, nor drowned by the waves of intimidation and frustration; therefore, I rest in his arms, for he is carrying me. This shall be quite an experience for me. He has chosen this trial for me; therefore, I know that he is more than a monitor of the trial and the forces involved, but he is the secret to its outcome. I will be a better person after this trial is over. Its days are already determined, and its outcome is already known of him. He does not reveal these things to me now, but I know that he will not fail me, and I shall not be defeated. I shall be victorious as all the things that are happening are working together for my good.

I believe on the Lord and his word. I believe on him and his works, which are already finished then I shall meet the head of this storm with confidence. I will meet the front of this storm with confidence, knowing that the Lord met it before me. I stand behind him, and I see the waters of this storm part as they attempt to come after me. Though the waters rage and seem to single me out, I know of a truth, that its waters are merely passing by and are but for a moment.

I stand on my feet, and I offer praise. I stand with my sword drawn and my armor on. I stand, therefore, with my loins girt about with truth. This storm aims at my loins that it might cripple me, but it cannot cripple me unless I break fellowship with God. He is my uprightness, and he is my ability to walk uprightly. I walk on in the light, that he is, before me, and I am not intimidated.

I must do nothing except pray and praise for this present time. Jesus is with me, and he does shake the foundation of this storm. He will scatter its gales and its waters, and I shall see the originator of this storm. He will show me where it came from, and he will show me where it is going. I stand fast in him, and I will not be overcome with doubt and unbelief. He did not bring me this far to have me robbed by a conspirator smarter than me. Men and spirits are smarter than I am, but they are not smarter than God. I am full of faith and confidence in him. God is faithful, and he has promised.

I come and worship the Lord, for he does show me things to come. He is not intimidated, for he is the Lord, and he cannot be intimidated. I act, and I am as he is, for he does show me what to do. I purpose to do as I see him do, for the spirit of wisdom and of revelation is with me and in me. He is my wisdom and the source of all true wisdom. He is my understanding and the source of all true understanding. He has been made all of this unto me. Now I draw from the source of wisdom in this trial, for he is imparting unto me all that I need for this trial.

I lean toward God. His shoulders are for my weakness. I lean on him. He is more than enough for this situation. He touches my mind with peace and strengthens my faith by his faithfulness. He touches my soul with joy and endows me with more love. He touches my eyes with new insight and reveals greater things to my mind. I rejoice, for he has brought me to the threshold of a great victory. I look beyond the storm and see the sunshine of prosperity and peace. I behold it, for it is visible to his mind and his eyes. I behold it, for it is imparted to me through the spirit. Now I rejoice.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
