SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Cold Love

March 5, 2005

Goodness and mercy have followed me. Goodness has led me unto repentance. Now I will not perish, for goodness has saved me from the devastating blow that sought to cause me to lose my life and be damned. Goodness has invaded the temples of God while mercy has stayed the hand of his wrath. All have sinned and come short of his glory; therefore, he has given more grace in this time of need. I rejoice that God has counted me worthy to escape the things that have come upon the earth. I have heard his voice. Now I give thanks that I am his sheep. Many who thought they were his have gone down the path of illusion. Many wise men desire to experience what I am experiencing and have not experienced it. I rejoice, for God has been good to me. I deserved to die, but he gave me grace instead of judgment. I will go and do for others what he has done for me. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. I will lay up mercy in the vault of heaven, and I will be able to stand in the evil days ahead. I will not stand if I have not been merciful to others who have sinned against me.

The fact that others have done wrong unto me granted me an opportunity to express mercy. If God had not allowed others to do me wrong, mercy would be stagnant and shut up inside of me. This is an opportunity to express mercy and cause it to abound in a greater way unto me. I will not use the time of being done wrong to express judgment. I will express the same mercy and goodness unto others that God has given me when I deserved judgment. His love is shed abroad in my heart. That love is giving me the desire to forgive and abound unto a better relationship with others who have been too weak to love as they ought to love. I pity those who are weak in their relationship with God. I purpose not to take him for granted, but I rejoice that I am in my right mind to love even those who do not love me. I will seek more charity in this hour of cold love. I have not suffered from the coldness of love because the Lord has given me a freshness of Rhema in a time of a famine of the hearing of the words of God. The fire of his word has warmed my love, and now I abound unto the victory of love. Love will overcome a multitude of sins. I rejoice.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
