SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Evil Countenances and Hardheaded Adversaries

February 15, 2005

I set my face like a flint, and I will be bold, knowing that Jesus is God. He has all power, and he will deliver me from the forces of my enemy. He is God. He dried up the sea and makes the rivers a wilderness, and he makes a wilderness a river. He has all power. The Lord has given me the tongue of the learned. Now I will go and speak a word in season to those who are weak and weary. Jesus has awakened my ear to hear as the learned. He has granted me to speak with ability and knowledge that was not learned in school. He will teach me in the very hour of presentation what I shall say. He has opened my ears. These adversaries will not confound me. I set my face like a flint, and I do not worry about the number that is against me. God is standing with me against my adversary. He has justified me. Now I behold what he will do to this adversary.

The Lord has given me a light in the time of darkness. He has granted me more grace to trust in the name of the Lord. He has built me a tower of safety. This tower is strong and mighty. I hide myself in his name and set my face strong and determined. I open my mouth and speak the words of God. The sharp edge of his words is sharp enough to cut away the voices of intimidation. My gift and calling is without repentance. The Lord ordained me to speak, not man. He sanctified me. Now I speak what he commands me to speak, and I am not afraid of the faces of men. God is with me to deliver me from all of their schemes. He has touched my mouth and placed his words there. I will speak, and he will confirm his word. The adversary has sought to clothe me with dismay. I have total confidence in God. I will not be confounded, for they shall not prevail against me. He is with me to deliver me from every snare.

The forces of the adversary are strong. The people are stubborn and shameless. God has made my face strong against their faces. I will not be fearful. His strength is all that I need. My ears are opened to hear, and my tongue is loosed to speak. God's glory has arisen upon his body, the church. Now I behold the power manifested in it and through it. The many voices of the hour are significant. God's voice is the voice of authority. He has commanded every significant voice and every knee to bow. I lift up my eyes and my head from these foes. They are already defeated and turned away from me. I walk in the light of new found liberty and peace.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
