Words
of Light Upon the Face of Fear
February
8, 2005
I lift up my head from the waters of fear. I will not drown
in these waters. They have no ability to bring me down. Jesus
is the giver of life, and there is no power that can wrestle
me from his hand. I have come to him, and he will in no wise
cast me out; therefore, I have confidence in his love and faithfulness,
and I will rest in this voyage across these uncertain waters
that rage beneath my feet. God is sending forth assurance in
my spirit. He has fended for me, and his love has forcefully
cast the spirit of fear from my presence. I lift up my head
in total confidence of his abiding love for me and my family.
He has not started this work to yield his plans to the devil
and allow him to glory in my defeat. I lift up my head and behold
the glory of God working on his own behalf to bring to pass
the finishing of the work that he has begun.
The
night comes when no man will be able to work. I will work while
the day of redemption remains available for those who call upon
the Lord. In this day of redemption, whosoever shall call upon
the name of the Lord shall be saved. Jesus saved me. Now I believe
that he is going to save those that he is sending me unto. The
way of a transgressor is hard. I will go and turn men unto Jesus
by the preaching of his word. I will go and testify of his goodness
and his power. In the temple, I will go and speak of his glory
and talk of his power. He has placed his word in my mouth and
given me freshness that shall bring a hunger and thirst after
righteousness to the people who hear me. I believe God. He is
doing a work in my ministry that shall cause others to behold
him, the Christ that I preach. I look unto Jesus, the author
and the finisher of my faith. He has placed the answer within
me. Now I look unto him and not unto the world for my answers.
He will show me of his exceeding, great power.
I have prayed. God will now renew the desire for prayer because
of delight and not because of necessity. The relationship that
he desires is restored, and purpose is implemented. Now I will
follow with delight and not because of fear of punishment. God
has changed me and brought me to the table of redemption to
eat of good bread and living water. He has washed me with fresh
waters and given me a new mind. I am truly a new creature and
this availeth much. Faith is working in me because of his love
now. I rise up and believe the gospel. I rise up and believe
on him as the scriptures have testified of him.
I
have doubted because I have compared God's works to my own righteousness.
He is not manifesting the works of God through me because of
my own righteousness but because of love and faith. I believe.
I believe in him and his works. I believe in him and the finished
work of the cross. Imputation cannot be prevented if I believe.
An enemy has attempted to corrupt me from the simplicity that
is in Christ. This enemy has sown his beguiling seeds of unbelief
in my heart and attempted to grow a crop of defeat. God has
spoiled the enemy's crop of seeds by his love and his blood.
I do not respond to the storm that blows against my mind. It
is simply passing by and is from the words and the breath of
the evil one. I do not fear. I rest in this thing. It has no
power over me. While I pass through this storm, God will give
me fresh water that will cleanse my mind and spirit from the
dust and mud of doubt. He has quickened my mind to the dust
and mud from this storm. Now I accept the cleansing from him.
God
has sent us as sheep among wolves, but I am not without a defense.
He is my defense in the time of trouble; therefore, I do not
worry. My weapons of warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty
through him. He has not sent me to kill men but to transport
life to them by my words. I will not lean to my own understanding,
for God has not sent me with the words of a man, neither the
plans of philosophy, but according to his spirit and his plans,
he has sent me. Evil shall not use God's plans to destroy his
own work, but evil has been defeated by Jesus' sacrifice and
his blood. He has destroyed the workings of the devil; therefore,
I do not fear his workings. I will go and do the workings and
the will of God. Though men are angered by my works, I do not
fear, for no power can be given over me unless it is given from
above. I am brought into an intimate relationship with Jesus.
He loves me, and he is not unaware of my feelings and my needs.
He understands me. He has not sent me alone, but he is in me
to do a good work in me. I continue to worship with all that
is in me.
I
continue to pray always. I will let my heart and lips continually
declare him Lord, and I will not take up carnal weapons against
my foes. God is truly my defense and my refuge. I will go and
glory in the cross and his righteousness. His spirit shall do
the work. It is not by might, nor by power but by his spirit
that all things are accomplished. Now I rest in the assurance
that he has given me, and I have no confidence in any other
strategies of man. I will be tempted to resort to carnal methods,
but the Lord will keep me in that hour of temptation. Carnal
methods and philosophies of men are the doors to the religious
death chambers of the age. I purpose not to go in these paths,
but I will follow the path of the cross and his blood. This
is his path of righteousness for his name's sake. Now I follow
the path of the cross.
Many
have been crushed by vain deceit; therefore, I receive this
love of the truth that God is imparting, and I will not be deceived,
nor be a victim of his strong delusion. I will pray without
ceasing. I determine to pray out of a heart filled with love
for God and not to love my own life unto death. I will not worry
about those who would betray me. I will allow his love that
works in me to express itself then I will cease to worry about
those who would do me wrong. I avail myself to others and their
needs. Love cannot be conquered by wrong, yet love will overcome
all evil. Jesus has loved me and given his life for me. Greater
love hath no man than to lay down his life for his friend. Jesus
has called me a friend, yet he has also invited me to become
his bride. I choose to not remain just a friend. I yield to
the willing expressions of brideship. If I eat of this bread
that God gives me this morning, then I will realize the meaning
of what he is saying. I eat the bread of life that he is serving,
and I am thankful. Jesus has saved me. Remission of my sins
has brought me nigh. Now I rest in the new position in Christ,
and I have confidence in his word. He has transformed my mind
and made me a new creature.

Hebrews
10:22 - 23
Let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)
Ephesians
2:8-9
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
