SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of the Wrath of Evil

February 3, 2005

Jesus has come that I might have life and that more abundantly. He has given me life. Eternal life is mine. I purpose not to squander it. The life that grace has placed in the bosom of many is being dissipated. Many are exchanging life for death. I conclude that there is nothing worth the exchange of my soul, although I have been tempted to trade this precious life for the worthless things being offered me.

I allow thanksgiving to consume me, and I will become more aware of the preciousness of what God has given to me. I will not push aside thankfulness. If I shove it aside, I will reap the fruit of the unwanted crop of ingratitude. God's goodness has reached for my hands. It has offered me the direction to repentance. I will go and follow goodness, for it will lead me unto a change of heart, mind, direction, and purpose. This goodness has kissed me and done many things in my life. I cannot number all the good things that God has done for me. He delivered me out of the hand of darkness. He delivered me out of every snare of my enemies. His goodness has passed before me. It has shown me of his graciousness and mercy. Goodness has hidden me from the wrath of the hour. Its hand is shielding me from the hand of harm. Jesus is the Lord. He is merciful, gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. He is keeping mercy, forgiving sin, and providing all my needs. God is driving out all of my enemies; therefore, I take heed to myself and will not make a covenant with carnality and sin. Compromise seeks to snare me. He is a jealous God; therefore, I determine not to romance compromise and unbelief.

God has placed a seer in my life. He shall be eyes for me in the time of darkness. I hear the words from his mouth, and I will do the things that he speaks in my ears. The blessing of my goodness shall prevent me from making many mistakes. His goodness shall be as a crown of pure gold upon my head. His goodness shall show unto me all my enemies, and they shall be swallowed up by his wrath. The wrath they had planned for me shall not be performed. God has made them turn their backs. They shall run in many directions; therefore, I give thanks for his goodness unto me. His goodness and mercy are following me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in his house forever. For his goodness' sake, he has not remembered my sins and transgressions. Now I will go and teach sinners his way. He has set a plain path before me. Now I lead others in the path of mercy and truth. Faith is the support that will prevent them from fainting before they believe to see God's goodness in the land of the living. Christ has strengthened my heart. Now I will go and strengthen others.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
