SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Self-righteousness

January 27, 2005

Jesus has said, "Come and follow me." He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the only one who has walked the path of life, met death, and overcame it. There is no one else that I would follow to the grave and be assured of eternal life. There is no man that I would follow with total assurance of everlasting existence. I follow Jesus, and I believe on him as the scriptures have declared of him. Out of my belly is flowing rivers of living water, the Spirit, which I have received. By his Spirit, I shall be led to the place that he has prepared for me. I will not doubt the voice that speaks unto me. His voice and his written word agree. He spoke to holy men of God, and they wrote as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. No prophecy of the scriptures is of any private interpretation. I know this also, he has not ceased speaking to holy men of God today.

The Lord is my holiness, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. I simply glorify him in all that happens in my life, and I will be kept from deception and wicked spirits. The Day Star has arisen in my heart. As a light that shines in a dark place, I give heed unto the light that I have. I go in the power of the Holy Ghost, not with the excellency of speech or of wisdom. I know God. Now I preach him everywhere I go. There is no one else that I can preach. There is no one else worthy to know but Jesus and Jesus crucified.

The Lord is in me to demonstrate the Spirit and power. I lay aside my speech and the enticing words of man's wisdom so that my faith will not attempt to stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. He speaks of the wisdom of God, which is in a mystery even the hidden wisdom. If the princes of this world had known this wisdom, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I walk in the Spirit, and I will not crucify Christ afresh. The Spirit of God is the only one who knows the things of God. He has given me his Spirit, the Holy Ghost, that I might know the things that are freely given to me of God. Man cannot teach me the things that he speaks of, for they are spiritual. The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. I have the mind of Christ. I allow the mind of Christ to teach me and lead me. I follow Jesus, and I will pass from death to life in the vehicle of love.

The Lord will take the wise in their own craftiness. I have become a fool. As a result, he does make me wise. The thoughts of those who think they are wise are vain. Consequently I purpose not to glory in men. He has given me all things. I rejoice in his provision, for I am Christ's, and Christ is God's. He has given me the gift of prophecy. I do not doubt when I speak with divers kinds of tongues, for that I do not doubt when he gives the word of wisdom and the word of knowledge. There is no reason for me to doubt the gift of prophecy. It works by the same Spirit that gave me divers kinds of tongues, the word of wisdom, and the word of knowledge. I come and follow Jesus. I do not doubt. He has given me the Holy Spirit. He has not given me a stone, a serpent, or a scorpion. I would not give my child a stone, a serpent, or a scorpion if he asks me for bread, fish, or eggs. I lay aside my reservations and questions. I follow the Lord, for there is work to do. I am determined not to be troubled by the voices of spirits and men.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
