SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

OF FAITH

Series 3.1.20 - #20

Words of Light Upon the Face of Distraction, Carnality, and Disobedience

January 20, 2005

Grace is a continual operation in my life. It has not come as a temporal and vanishing act, but it is forever. The grace of God will work for me throughout the ages. The kingdom of grace is a mighty kingdom. It is within me. Jesus is the God of all grace, and he is able to make all grace abound toward me. Abounding grace has leaped higher than all iniquity. The legs of grace cannot be matched by my foes, neither can principalities nor powers distract from the supremacy of grace. Grace is superior. Its manifold beauty is untouchable. I allow the beauty of grace to replace the ugliness of sin's shame. I will be clothed with the garments that grace has supplied me with and cast off the rags of self-righteousness. I will adorn myself with the garment of praise, knowing that he has dressed me with the underwear of righteousness and true holiness.

I will be content to dwell in God's kingdom. It is powerful and mighty, none can bring it down, for it is a kingdom of righteousness. God's righteousness, goodness, and mercy have not retreated. They will never withdraw themselves from me. He has given them to me as powerful triplets working on my behalf at all times. The kingdom of God has come unto my life with all of its power and provision. I accept faith's choice for my life and do not settle for things on the right hand of evil. Jesus has called me to be first in line. I was last, but now he makes me first. Patience is given to me. It is a virtue of his Holy Spirit. In it, I possess my soul. Now I glorify the Lord and give him honor. I will allow this day to be a special day in my life. God awakened me and removed sleep from my eyes so that he might commune with me. This morning is special to God; therefore, it should be special to me also.

Every day that the Creator speaks in my ear and talks with me face to face should be special to me. Jesus is the Creator. He is Lord. I reflect on his goodness and mercy shown me in the past. Judgment was restrained by the hands of goodness and mercy. My enemies cried out to God for judgment, but the voice of goodness and mercy was not silent in their presence. My enemies anticipated my fall from grace. God has disappointed them as he gave me favor in their audience. As vultures, they attended what they thought would be my catastrophe. God has turned it into a celebration. Now I commemorate his word and know it is exalted forevermore. God's word has foretold of my victory. The voice of the Lord, in my life, is not a hoax. It is the desirable relationship offered by the King Eternal. His sheep hear his voice, and they follow it. Those who know God's voice will follow me. I will not be filled with dismay. Everyone is not chosen to hear God's voice; therefore, I will not worry about those who do not follow.

I rejoice. Jesus makes me glad in the presence of the depressing things of the hour. The depression that I feel comes from principalities and powers. The prince of the power of the air has sent his pressure against my mind. I will not be persuaded by this pressure. Greater is he who is in me. God continually works on my behalf. God has caused the author of pressure to bow. I will go on in the will of God and not be distracted by the enemy's tactics of warfare. Jesus has built a bridge over distraction; therefore, I will not halt at the mouth of distraction. I close off the avenue of distraction. I determine to leave it closed. It is congested with the traffic of the carnal and the disobedient. While they travel and live by the inspiration of the spirit of error, the spirit of truth has built a bridge of grace for me. It is a bridge and a highway of holiness. I will go and walk with the Lord. I will be yoked to him. His easy yoke and light burden shall make the journey a joy. The unclean are not passing this way. The voice that is speaking against me may be ignored. God's voice is the voice of clarity. The voice of simplicity has spoken in my ears. I will not be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus. He has given me his mind. I will think on the things granted me by his Spirit. I purpose not to be detoured from the will of God while traveling down the highway of grace.

I look up and behold the celebration as I journey down this highway. Jesus has overturned hatred's cup of wrath. Bitterness' platter is cast to the ground. The joy of the Lord has strengthened me in a new way. I dance on the heads of hatred and bitterness. They are defeated foes without a foundation. God has caused them to deteriorate beneath my feet; therefore, I rejoice. I am not defiled by them. Christ has made me free. The truth of his word and the certainty of who he is are exalted in my life. The truth will be told before my life is over. I will not regret the things that have happened. The devil meant them for bad, but God will bring forth good in the end, even now, good abounds. I rejoice. The Lord is exalted and praised. He has taken rejection and made it a glorious experience. I have suffered with him. Now I prepare to reign with him.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
