SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

OF FAITH

Words of Light Upon the Face of Confusion

January 17, 2005

I open my mouth and give thanks for God's goodness. He has been good to me. His goodness and mercy have followed me everywhere that I have gone. I dwell in his house by the same grace that saved me. It is by grace that I am saved, and it is by grace that I will remain saved. I give thanks for his grace. The Lord has supplied me with all things that pertain unto life and godliness. I give thanks. Many are void on the inside because they are not thankful. A thankful heart will never feel the emptiness that so many know. He has filled my heart with love and baptized me with the fire of dedication. The fire that burns inside of me is because of the grace that I have found. Noah found grace in his sight and so have I. I give thanks for what I have found.

I have kept my mind on Jesus; therefore, has he given me perfect peace. The peace that he has given passes all understanding. My understanding has not limited his peace, for his peace is infinite. The endless realm of his peace is beyond my finite understanding. It is unlimited. I cannot measure it, for it is immeasurable. If God's people understood how vast and immense his peace is, they would trust him with all their hearts. He has given me peace that is gigantic and colossal. I give thanks for his peace. He is insignificant in the hearts of many believers. Their faith is minute and diminutive. When he comes, I desire that he finds great faith on the earth.

The enemy has devised tactics of war against God's people to restrict the peace of the people. I will go and declare that his peace is not incomplete, neither is it imperfect or inadequate. It is boundless. I am determined to consider his grace. I would be lost without it. The Lord is able to make all grace abound toward me so that I, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work. The good works that I do are of him. He supplies the sufficiency that makes good works possible. His righteousness remains in me; therefore, the fruit of righteousness is enriched in everything that I do. I give thanks to him for his righteousness and the exceeding grace of God in my life. I must diminish my testimony about myself and my sufficiency to zero and then will God be glorified. He gives the grace to submit myself unto the gospel of Christ and to pray unto him with a fervent heart.

I purpose to clothe myself with humility, for God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. I choose to humble myself under his mighty hand, and he will exalt me in due time. I cast all my cares upon him. He cares for me. I will be sober and vigilant because my adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour. I resist him steadfast in the faith knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in my brethren that are in the world. He is the God of all grace, and he has called me unto his eternal glory. After I have suffered awhile, he will make me perfect, stablish, strengthen, and settle me. I give thanks. He has made me glad. Now I serve him with gladness. I come before him presence with singing, thanksgiving, and praise. He will inhabit these expressions and make me an overcomer in all things.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
