I
have allowed my focus to shift from God to my problems. Jesus
must remain the main focus of interest, or my problems will
become my definition of life. This causes discontent. I have
food and raiment; therefore, I will be content. I have need
of patience. I will let patience have her perfect work in me
that I may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. The Lord
heard me when I first prayed. He will answer in due time. He
is working patience out in me. The Lord is more concerned about
what I am focused on than on me receiving things. I must keep
him the focal point and not his blessings. God is the central
theme of life, not my blessings. The important things in life
can easily be distorted when I think on what I am receiving
from him more than I think on him. Jesus is a jealous God. He
will not compete with my blessings. He is bringing focus back
to my life so that I do not lose my vision and my purpose. Many
visionaries lost sight of him when they began to focus on what
he was doing rather than focusing on him. Jesus must remain
the focal point at all times, or what he is doing will be out
of focus to me. He is correcting me because he loves me. I will
keep my eyes on him then will his purpose of seeking the lost
remain intact and clear and not a photograph of what he intends
to do. I will allow him to remove the bandages from my eyes.
I have worn the bandages of selfishness.
The
Lord gives me fresh vision and anoints me with eye salve that
I might see clearly. I will cease focusing on my problems, and
I will not view his purpose through eyes of flesh. I will see
his purpose through spiritual eyes that are focused by the Holy
Ghost. I have halted between two opinions. I halted between
the opinion of my flesh and the reality of what is being revealed
to me by the Spirit. This has brought about a controversy within
me. I will turn my concentration back to Jesus, the Lord, my
God and then will I see what he is doing instead of observing
confusing imaginations. He has said, "The Son can do nothing
of himself, but what he seeth the Father do, for what things
soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the
Father loveth the Son and showeth him all things that himself
doeth, and he will show him greater works than these that ye
may marvel."
Jesus
is the vine. We are the branches. I will abide in him and he
in me. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it
abide in the vine. No more can I except I abide in him. He is
the vine. We are the branches. He that abideth in Jesus and
Jesus in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit, for without
him, I can do nothing. The servant is not greater than his master.
He could of his own self do nothing. He could only do what the
Father did. I return to Jesus as the focal point, and I do as
I see him do. I must work the works of the one who sent me,
not the works of my imaginations. The Lord is anointing my eyes
again. Now I wash in the pool of faith and come forth seeing
clearly. I open my mouth, and I allow him to speak through me.
The Lord has given me a mouth and wisdom, which all my adversaries
shall not be able to gainsay, nor resist. It is not me that
speaks but the Spirit of my Father that speaks within me. His
grace is sufficient for me. I will not be discouraged because
of the weakness that I feel, for his strength is made perfect
in weakness. I will not be concerned about my problems. I focus
on him. The power of Christ rests upon me; therefore, I offer
praise in all these things, and I will not lose my focus to
my problems, neither my infirmities.

Hebrews
10:22 - 23
Let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)
Ephesians
2:8-9
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
