SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

Series 2.7.24 - #205

July 24, 2004

The Lord has come that I might have life and that more abundantly. The abundant life is mine. He has given it unto me freely. Freely I have received. Now I freely give to others. Though my pains are many, I rejoice. I am suffering with him and for his name's sake. For the sake of the living word, I am being persecuted. I marvel not that this is happening to me, but I am glad. The blessings that are on the way unto me are not possible unless I travel through this valley. In this valley of the shadow of confusion, many have been turned around by confusion's shadow and his voice of misunderstanding. I have made it through the veil of unbelief that has been cast over so many minds and wrapped them with fear and defeat. I rejoice that I was elected to prevail by the faith of Jesus Christ.

Unbelief has not finished its war with me. It has sent reinforcements into the battle to detour me from faith. I know this of a truth, that faith is more than enough for this web of unbelief and its army. I offer praise and give glory unto the Lord continuously, and I shall destroy the wicked generals of unbelief. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that shall rise against me in judgment, I shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and my righteousness is of him. The enemy has prepared many weapons and has much artillery to use against me in warfare. I worry not, for the weapons of my warfare are not carnal but mighty through him to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. He will bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of himself. I have in a readiness to revenge all disobedience when my obedience is fulfilled.

I will be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, for wisdom is better than weapons of war. I will not be afraid of the enemy's weapons of resentment and annoyance. I shall be a terror unto them, for God is going to do a thing in my life that shall make the enemy afraid of me. He will turn back the weapons of war that are in the hands of the enemy, and he will fight against them with his outstretched hand and strong arm. He has opened his armory and brought forth the weapons of his indignation, for this is his work that they are against.

I send forth praises into the battle as I lean on him and not on my own understanding. He shall use the praisers as his battle-axe and weapons of war. With the praisers, he will break in pieces the enemy's artillery. Those who are against me shall be treated as a destroying mountain. He will stretch out his hand upon them and roll them down from the rocks of their high places that they have assumed. He will make them a burnt mountain. All who are against me shall be made desolate. They shall boast in their numbers and shall not know that they are desolate. It is bondage to persecute the bearers of the living word. We are the children of Jerusalem, which are above and are free. She is the mother of all of us. It is written, "Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband."

We are as Isaac was. We are the children of promise. I remember: He that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit even so it is now. We are children of the free. We rejoice in our freedom. I will not be filled with dismay at the many tactics that the enemy comes against me with. God is more than a match for all of these things. None of his strategies shall flourish. They shall be as babblers who speak with a fork of flame, for God shall confound them, and they shall be found liars. I continue to believe on him, and I shall not be ashamed. The penalty that the Lord shall impose on them shall be devastating. He shall make trouble for them in their own camp. He shall vex them with their own wickedness that they have assumed would never come up against them; therefore, I worry not about them. They shall be too busy defending themselves against their self-inflicted attacks to seek my hurt.

I heed God's promises and look not to the warriors from my back. Goodness and mercy that follow me all the days of my life are more than a match for them. He has given me goodness and mercy as an inheritance. Now I behold the attack of goodness and mercy on my behalf. I am a servant of his, and my righteousness is not my own, but it is of him. Jesus is the Lord, my righteousness. I make an altar of praise and thanksgiving unto him today. I worship with all that is within me and behold the demolition of my fears. The enemy shall be as raging heathens. He shall ask them, "Why do you rage and imagine vain things against those who bear my word?"

They shall be speechless, for he shall break their bands asunder and cast away their cords from me. He shall laugh and cause them to dwell in derision. I behold the defense of my King on my behalf. I rejoice. God is for me. If they are on God's side, they would not be against me. They shall surely gather together but not by him. Whosoever shall gather together against me, shall fall for my sake. God has called me, and he has sent me with a word from him. I go and deliver what he has given me, and I am not afraid of their faces. He is with me to deliver me. He touched my mouth again. I behold, he has placed his words in it. I believe.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
