SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

Series 2.7.7 - #189

July 7, 2004

Man or spirit cannot oppose the blessedness that is on my side successfully. No one can persuade Jesus to abandon his word, for he is God, and he cannot lie. He has promised me and given me his word concerning my life. What he has promised, shall be done. I choose not to abandon my faith in God's voice, for in this confidence, lies the roots of true faith. Abraham did not refer to a written account of his reason for leaving Ur of the Chaldees. He heard the Lord's voice and forsook all to follow him. He believed his promises to him. God counted his faith as righteousness. If I abandon my confidence in God's voice for man's way, then I will have my roots in instability, lies, deceit, and human frailty. God is not a man that he should lie. All men are liars. Not one is good but God. I purpose not make flesh my arm lest I follow the curse of the last days. It is written, "Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I, the LORD, search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings."

I determine not to lean to my own understanding. I will lean on the arm of the Lord. No one has an arm like his. There is no one who can thunder with a voice like God's. He will thunder for me. I give him my burdens, and I rest from my own labors. The work of his rest is activated in my life. Now I behold the benefits of the rest of God. Out of his rest, comes the strong arm of the Lord God. He rules with all power. He rules the raging sea. When the waves of the sea rise, he causes them to be still. He will scatter my enemies with his strong arm, for the heavens are his and also the earth. The Lord founded the world and the fullness thereof. His mighty arm is strong. He rules with a strong hand. His strong hand is high. It is called the right hand of God. From everlasting to everlasting, mercy and truth go before his face. Justice and judgment are the habitation of his throne. I come and hear the joyful sound again then I will walk in the light of his countenance and not the dismal light of man's way. The Lord is causing me to rejoice in his name. All things are working together for good, and his righteousness is exalted.

Jesus is my defense. His glory is my strength, so I will sing unto him a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand and his holy arm have given me the victory. He has made known his salvation. His righteousness has been shown openly in the sight of the heathen. He will show the salvation of God, for he has remembered his mercy and his truth toward me. God's mercy endures forever. He will bring me out again with a strong hand and with a stretched out arm, for his mercy endures forever. His own arm has brought salvation unto me. I behold the finished work of salvation on my behalf.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
