SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

Series 2.2.26 - #57

February 26, 2004

God has not willed my defeat by the hand of my enemy, neither has he desired to see me become a fool by the actions of the flesh. He has granted me more grace in the time of weakness and willing disobedience. Though I have disobeyed, he has extended grace and goodness. I will remember God's acts of charity toward me when I deserved rejection. His love has ushered me into his presence that I might hear the voice of grace. The light of mercy has not gone out of my presence, and the hand of favor has not been retracted. He has extended to me the love of his heart and brought me to the throne in heavenly places. His goodness has designed an audience in the presence of angels. His love has granted forbearance. His wisdom has excelled in the presence of evil's plan to disqualify me by subtlety. The Lord has brought me from the clutches of the hunter's trap and allowed me to walk out untouched by the scorching fire of deceit. He has smitten the hand of the designer of wickedness and etched a new love in my heart for obedience and honor. I look again to the light of love, and I behold the exceeding greatness of his power working on my behalf. He has brought me to the kingdom for such a time as this. Now will his name be glorified in me, and others will be instructed in righteousness and holiness. I lift my eyes to the Lord again, and I behold the awesomeness of what he is doing in the earth everyday. I have come unto God with the light of praise, and he will show me the power of forgiveness and redemption.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
