I
have preached the gospel. I do not worry about those who did
not believe my report. The arm of the Lord is revealed to whom
he reveals it to. My description of him was as a root out of
a dry ground. They looked for human beauty and intellectual
philosophy. The gospel did not bring a Christ with form and
comeliness. The true gospel describes him without beauty that
fallen man desires. When he walked the earth, he was despised,
rejected of men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief, and
men hid their faces from him. In his humanity, he received the
bruising of the Father's pleasure. He was put to grief, and
his soul was made an offering for sin. The pleasure of the Lord
prospered in his hands as he bore the keys of the kingdom upon
his shoulder. He brought the government of God to the earth,
and the increase of that government continues in its everlasting
increase.
He
bore the iniquities of all, and by his knowledge, he justified
many. He poured out his soul unto death and was numbered with
the transgressors. He bore the sins of many and made intercession
for the transgressors. He was bruised in a pleasurable manner.
I lift up my head from my grief and despair, for he has allowed
me to be bruised in trials; therefore, I have come and became
acquainted with these things with my head lifted up instead
of a head that hangs down. The
Lord has brought righteous judgment to the Gentiles. He has
spared the bruised reeds and the smoking flax. I behold the
judgment that has presented me with the truth. He created the
heavens. He stretched them out and spread forth the earth. He
is the creator, and he is able to grant me all things.
I
look unto the Lord, and I allow salvation to hold my hand and
keep me. He is in covenant with me. He opened my blinded eyes
and brought me out of the prison of sin. I sat in the darkness
of a spiritual prison house. Now I am free. I give glory unto
Jesus, the Lord. I sing unto him a new song. I sing his praise
from the end of the earth. The wilderness and the cities of
the isles lift up their voice. The rocks are singing, and many
shout from the top of the mountains. He is given glory and praise
in the islands. He has gone forth as a mighty man and stirred
up jealousy like a man of war. He has roared and prevailed against
my enemies. He will make waste the things against me. He will
dry up the pools that have stood before me. He will make darkness
light before me and the crooked things straight. He will not
forsake me, but he will uphold me and turn back my enemies.
My enemies shall be greatly ashamed, for they have been held
by their chains of covetousness, which is idolatry.

Hebrews
10:22 - 23
Let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Let
us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
(for he is faithful that promised;)
Ephesians
2:8-9
For
by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
