SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Insecurity and Unbelief

December 25, 2004

Unbelief has sent forth a mighty force that is attracting everything toward its center. I will draw nigh to the Lord and keep my faith in him. I will not allow my own insecurities to influence me to doubt his faithfulness. Love believes all things. Love does not think any evil. Love never fails. I purpose not to be drawn away from love by the gravity of unbelief. I have abiding in me faith, hope, and charity. The greatest of these is charity. I must act after the inspiration of charity, and the gravity of unbelief will not affect my insecurities and cause me to respond after the spirit of error. I will follow after charity. I am blessed with a precious gift. Now I will think after the inspiration of charity, and I will continue to prophesy unto edification, exhortation, and comfort. God's body is in need of edification. I will not speak into the air, nor voice the suspicions of unbelief. There are many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them are without signification. I determine not to discard my trust in God, and I will not live after the inspiration of other voices.

Jesus is my Lord. He owns me. I am his. All that is mine belongs to him. I trust him with all of my possessions, and I lean not to my own understanding. Unless he keeps the city, I am staying awake in vain. I will return to edifying the church and excel in edification. God has made me strong for the last days. Now I am a man in understanding. I will not allow malice to minister through me. The secrets of the hearts of men will be made manifest by my gift. God will show that he is in me, and people will fall on their faces and worship him. He has placed a gift in me that others may learn and be comforted by the inspiration of the gift. He is not the author of confusion. He is the author of peace. I will not be drawn away by the magnetism of confusion. The enemy desires me to gravitate toward confusion. The magnetism of confusion is mighty, but it is no match for love. I do not allow the enemy to mix unbelief with confusion in my life. This is a mixture that has snared many. The gravity of this mixture will turn me from peace. I am aware of this unholy mixture.

The Lord is my balance. I keep him as the center of gravity, and the things around me will not sway me one way or the other. He has placed me in the center of motion. I am at rest here. Now all things move around me, but they do not move me. God is the center of everything in relation to me. My joy is centered in him. My victory is centered in him. My confidence is centered in him. My hope is centered in him. I rest in him. I make him my concentration and not my imaginations. I cast down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself above his knowledge. I concentrate on him totally, and he will become my focus. When he is my focus, all other things will be reflected to yonder pit. When he is my focus, the fuel of confusion and unbelief can find nothing to feed upon. The fire of unbelief sought to burn in me, but God has extinguished it by his love. I will not allow doubt to fuel the fire of unbelief. Doubt seeks to increase the flame of unbelief. I have felt its heat. I turn from the intensity of its flames before it burns me. God has not called me to warm by the flames of unbelief. I have been called to throw the flames of faith and love. I arise and hurl the flames of victory into the face of unbelief and insecurity. An inferno of conquest has come from my mouth. Insecurity is destroyed in the blaze of faith and love. God has healed my short-sightedness and restored my lost focus. I believe, and I rejoice in my salvation.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
