SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

OF FAITH

Words of Light Upon the Face of Defeat

December 22, 2004

God has not allowed an enemy to siphon the grace that he gave me. Though iniquities have abounded and sins have been committed, his steadfast grace has accomplished its purpose in my life and brought me to this point of victorious faith. I purpose not to leave the throne of grace for another position or station in life. There is no other place that I can journey to and find the riches possessed in God. He is the treasure that men and women seek, yet they continue to search for the empty things in life. They are constantly destroyed because of their lack of knowledge. I will go and proclaim Christ, the wisdom of God and the power of God. He is the riches of life. There are no other riches that last forever, except him, the treasure of the ages. Many have sought what I have found; therefore, I rejoice in this relationship, for it is valued above everything in heaven and in earth.

The systems of the world shall now know that he is God. He is more than a man, more than a prophet, and more than a lamb. Jesus is the Everlasting Father and the Prince of peace. Man's peace shall not come in the form of things. Man's peace came as a lamb and was offered as a sacrifice. Unless his offering for sins is accepted and believed according to the scriptures, then a man's religion is vanity. I look to Jesus, and he will show me the glory of redemption and the glory of this relationship. God has not brought life to my ears and to my doors only to have me come and find death and defeat.

Jesus has brought me the glorious victory of his cross and granted me the fruit of his sufferings. His sufferings were not in vain. All that he suffered was for me, and now the fruit of his sufferings are for my tasting. I taste of the victory of his bruises. I taste of the victory of his wounds. I taste the fruit of his stripes today. I taste of the fruit of Gethsemane. I taste of the fruit of his submission to death. God has not sent forth an empty experience into my life, but what he has sent forth is the total victory of life over death, health over sickness, prosperity over poverty, peace over confusion, liberty over bondage, a sound mind over troubled minds, and righteousness over unrighteousness.

Jesus is a holy God. There is no defeat in him. He has all power, and there is no counsel against him. I lift my eyes to Jesus and give him my heart today. He has all power. God created man and made woman from the man's rib. His creative power has not diminished because he is the Lord who does not change. His constructive power has not withered as a flower in its state of withering.

Jesus is the Lord, and he does not change. I will trust him, and he will show me his glory. I will trust him, and he will show me that I have not believed in an idol, but I have believed in the only Lord God. He is Jesus who called Paul of the early church. Now he has called me. I allow the fashioning of his grace to complete its work and then I will be pleased with the result that God has planned by his mind. I cannot add one inch to my stature; therefore, I do not need to struggle to become what I am going to be. I allow God to continue his molding process of my life and then I will be a vessel that he is pleased to dwell within. Jesus has a word for the people. I will allow him to give them what has been sent from eternal wisdom and understanding and not from my own plans then will I behold the victory planned for today. I believe.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
