SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

Words of Light Upon the Face of Tribulations

December 13, 2004

God desires to show me faith's blueprint again. I must follow this blueprint and be fully persuaded that I will not go wrong if I follow it. Abraham believed him, and the Lord counted his faith as righteousness. I will sit down in heaven with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The impossibilities before me cannot bar me out of the realm of miracles because he has given me the key of faith. I will trace the steps of Abraham to understand faith. Abraham is the father of faith. Though Sarah's womb was dead and Abraham's body was dead, Abraham was not weak in faith. He did not stagger at his promise through unbelief. He was strong in faith and gave God glory. He was fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was able to perform. He imputed his faith as righteousness. I believe on him. He raised up Jesus from the dead. Jesus was delivered for my offences, and he raised him up for my justification. I am justified by faith, and I now have peace with him through the Lord, Jesus Christ. I am determined to glory in these tribulations, for they work patience in me. I simply believe that Christ was delivered for my offences and that God raised him up for my justification. He has counted me righteous also. By one man's disobedience, many were made sinners. By the obedience of one, many are made righteous. I believe.

In times past, I have made God's word the object of my faith. Abraham did not do this. Abraham's faith rested on the Lord. The Lord was the object of his faith. Although God has exalted his word above his name, I must not make his promise my god. Abraham believed him. I must believe him. The blueprint for my faith reveals that Abraham believed God, who quickens the dead and calls those things which be not as though they were. He is the God of the Jews and the God of the Gentiles. There is one God, and he justifies all by faith. There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither bond nor free. There is neither male nor female, for we are all one in Christ Jesus. If I am Christ's, then I am Abraham's seed and an heir according to the promise. I am fully assured of this truth. I am an heir, a joint-heir with Jesus Christ. I rise up and follow faith's blueprint.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
