SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

OF FAITH

Series 2.11.1 - #305

November 1, 2004

I trust the Lord, and I believe his word. Many seek proof and signs, but he says, "I have given you a sign, the sign of the prophet Jonas." He was in the heart of the earth three days and three nights. Jesus died, was buried, and arose again on the third day. He conquered death and rose victoriously over it. Now I believe that he will conquer all my foes, and I will rise victoriously over all of them. Doubt's shadow could not reach high enough to bring the resurrection under its shadow. The resurrection soared far above the darkness of doubt. Now justification holds a light that has totally terminated the power of doubt in my life. Doubt only has the power that I give it. Doubt's shadow can only influence me if I am going the wrong way. I look in faith's direction, and the shadow of doubt will always remain behind me. I am determined not to allow my faith to be undetermined. The truth of my belief will never change; therefore, I hold fast to my confession. I do not have to fear shame. The Lord will not leave me or forsake me. The questions that I have heard in my ears are not from him. His promises are not questionable. I must never hesitate to believe his word. He is faithful. The enemy desires me to distrust him. I cannot please him if I do not trust him.

This trial will teach me to be a better warrior against fear. I can only ward off fear if I am perfected in love. Many seek to be successful against doubt and fear. There is no success against them without faith and love. Faith works by love. Now abides faith, hope, and charity. The greatest of these is love. Doubt depends on a wrong mental attitude so that it may defeat me. I choose to live by every word that proceeds out of his mouth, and my mind will remain focused. My mind is defective in knowledge. It is defective in evidence; therefore, my human judgment will always be distorted. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Rhema of God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen; therefore, doubt's effects are unsettled when I walk by faith. There are no suspicions, apprehensions, and fears when I walk by faith that is worked by love. Faith is great. I allow it to work for me. Without the work of faith, faith is dead. God has given me a working faith. It is very profitable. I reach in my bag of confidence. There is a great remuneration there for me.

The enemy has attempted to seduce me so that I would cast away my confidence. I remember, I have need of patience so that after I have done the will of God, I might receive the promise. I am justified, and the just shall live by faith. I will not draw back in this time of testing. I am not of those who draw back unto perdition, but I am of those that believe to the saving of the soul. My hope is not in silver and gold. My hope is in the God of all gods, my confidence and exceeding great reward. I continue to trust him. He is faithful.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
