SCRIPTURAL VERIFICATION

The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

(Romans 10:8-10)

CONFESSION

Series 2_#4

God is my secure place. His name is a tower that is strong and cannot be penetrated by evil. He is my Everlasting Arms, a refuge from every storm and every force forged against me. He is a strong city, not a place that can be entered at the will of my enemies. Those who have entered the strong city of salvation are supplied with weapons that are not carnal but weapons that are mighty through the Lord. These weapons are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds, the casting down of imaginations, the bringing into captivity every thought into his obedience. I purpose to not allow my thoughts to run to shelters designed by my enemies. The refuge of God is not as the shelters designed by man. My enemies are not human enemies, but my true enemies are spirits without bodies. My enemies are principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places. These enemies cannot be fended against using carnal methods of defense, but these enemies can only be defended against by God's provision. I know that I cannot escape the pursuing enemies of the darkness by running to man's shelters. They penetrate all things designed by man. The spiritual dogs are not stymied by a man-made ladder. The spiritual serpents are not cut away by man-made knives. There is no man-made defense against my enemies. The Lord is my only refuge, my only city of refuge. He is the Eternal God, my help and my safety. He is my shield, and only his sword is excellent in battle. He causes me to tread upon the high places of my enemies and triumph through praise.

Hebrews 10:22 - 23

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
