Children's Bread

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs. And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

The Children of Promise Are Giant Killers

March 17, 2005

Why do you fear the giant that has come to knock on your door?

Don't you know that the Lord of Glory answers the knock on your door?

You have sat down to sup with me; therefore, I arise to speak with your tormentor who knocks at your door. I am not a visitor here in this house, but I abide here. I have made your temple my place of residence, and I am pleased to dwell here.

Make no boast of your sins, neither give praise to them, but confess them all, and forsake them then shall I pluck you out of your afflictions. Make no hedge about your transgressions, and hide not your sins, but confess them, every one unto me, and I will forgive all your debts as you forgive your debtors.

I will deliver you from the giant who was born of procrastination. The child of procrastination has grown up and has returned for meat. It is no longer satisfied with the milk of your life, that is, seeing you in torment of mind, but it (the giant) now wants your life. It has been mere milk to see you tormented in mind and of spirit, but now it will not be satisfied until it has choked you even unto death. The knock of the big fist on the door that seems to shake the foundation of your faith is loud and creates a storm in your mind, but know this of a truth, that I am not disturbed by the tormentor's knock. I am your Father, and I do show you what I will do. Look not to the voice of the tormentor, neither to the images that are produced in your mind by his words. Look to the voice of your Father who speaks in you, and there you will hear the words of the Savior and see images of victory. Let us now answer the knock on your door.

The images of your mind have given you an illusion of a giant structure standing at your door with big feet and big fists. You can walk between his legs, and yet he stands as a mountain above you. You are a grasshopper, and he is a mountain of a spirit. Will you respond according to the image of your mind, or will you respond according to the image of the mind of Christ?

I will give you another image. I see the image of a giant lying flat on the ground. He is stunned by the blow of my strength. He is motionless before you, my child and apple of my eye. The giant is weak and helpless because of the might of my right hand that was vented against his head. Now I do place the sword of my words into the head of your persecutor. I will cherish it as a giant slain by my child of promise. It shall be a trophy unto me. I want you to slay the giants, not simply rejoice at seeing others slay them.

Believe on me, for I have already overcome the giants of the land. There is no mountain that you cannot conquer. There is no wall that can be built to keep the Church out of the cities of death. I do send you into the cities of death to rescue those who are dead in trespasses and sins. Marvel not that you do not see more people in your local congregation, for no one can come unless the Spirit of the Lord draws them. Many are called, and few are chosen. I add and multiply to the Church such as should be saved. Be not weary in well doing. You are going to reap, and you will not faint because I have given you more grace that you might endure this time of discouragement. I have given you more grace that you might see that the same mercy that I bestowed upon you while you were yet a sinner now super-abounds toward you unto deliverance from all your snares.

Be not filled with dismay and doubt, neither look at the problem as one that shall defeat you and bring you down to shame. While you were yet a sinner, I could have allowed the consequences of your sins to bring you down to the shameful state of death's exposure and nakedness. I, in mercy, came to you and delivered you even while you stood before the counsel of evil spirits that held you in bondage. They had gathered together not only to charge you but also to sentence you to death. I came to the meeting of the counsel of wickedness and came to your defense. I spoke on your behalf and commanded your freedom. Shall I now be silent in the presence of your accusers?

Much more, I not only speak on your behalf, but I perform on your behalf. Behold the miracle power of the Lord's deliverance! Even while you wait, I speak and perform.

Amos 3: 7 - 8

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. The lion hath roared, who will not fear? The Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?
