Bread and Wine For Encouragement

These thoughts came into my hearing,

You did not ask for the gift within you. I gave it to you. Now do not despise the pain that comes with it. You are taking these things for me. If you suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are you. Rejoice and be glad. The light of the word shines brighter in times of persecution. I was scourged for your sake. Come and view the crimson stream of blood again. Look into the Spirit, and behold my hands and feet dripping blood. My flesh was bathed in my own blood as I trod the winepress alone. The grapes of wrath spewed the juice of redemption. The wine of atonement has been poured into earthen vessels. You were chosen to drink the fruit of life's vine. The wine of the living vineyard is supplied for your peace. Drink the fruit of my vine, and know the joy of redemption. Offer praise for fresh wine this morning. Drink from the fountain of new wine. The wine will make you merry, and your tongue shall be glad. With a glad tongue and a merry heart, confess your trust in the living God. Drink the living wine. The life in it will lift your heart and your spirit. Drink and satisfy your thirst. Here is bread. I am filling you with fresh bread and fresh wine. Taste and see how good I am.

1 Corinthians 14:1-4

Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.
